Le sigh. I’ve got that sinking feeling again when you raise a support ticket, get an answer, and realise that you have more knowledge on the particular niche subject than the support tech.

Also, if I (very rarely) choose to use one, I give it one chance and as soon as there's an error because it thinks I'm not obeying its rules as to where to put things after scanning, I walk off too.

That's because, before green bins were introduced, the grey bin was made green to be more appealing. So when green bins were introduced, they couldn't have two green bins so they made the new bin grey (for green waste, which is mostly brown) and left the old green bin green, for grey waste. #binception #Northumberland

@skinnylatte @CiaraNi This is a fascinating thread. I've observed similar with Norwegian, Danish and Swedish people each talking their own language and understanding each other but there's a lot more commonality with those languages.

@CiaraNi Absolutely. This reminds me immediately of how certain politicians lie continually. They don't expect to be believed, necessarily: but they aim to break down trust; to make people think that *all* politicians lie continually; and then they come along with their answers to everything.
