There are plenty of appropriate anger targets for this:
• oil company leaders
• petro-state leaders
• plutocrats in private jets and yachts
• auto company leaders (mainly American) still pushing oversized and non-EV vehicles
• anybody still dragging their heels on renewables
• anybody still dragging their heels on public transit

Just a reminder that these people all have names and addresses.
They even publish their identities themselves: https://investors.palantir.com/governance/board-of-directors

Wait is that an option? In that case please add Washington and Oregon to your demands, we'd also love to be EU members 🙏

This is admittedly splitting hairs but I'm pretty sure that's just regular-type white supremacy though.
Systemic white supremacy is more like--just as a hypothetical example--if the nation were shocked and outraged that a white person got shot by cops.

Fwiw, if you've got extra money to spend on it, you can still buy commercial appliances and get this. eg. SpeedQueen for washer/dryer, webstaurantstore.com for kitchen stuff, and commercial displays ("digital signage") from the usual makers.

Definitely no, but "You've made your last major programming language, {Villain_Name}!" makes for a great line.

Yep, and also, "the feds will sue" is exactly the dynamic we want, because it puts the Nazis on the back foot. Even if the end results were guaranteed to be the same (which they're not), it's still much better to make the Nazis have to sue to wreck things, than it is for the sane folks to have to sue to fix things.

Also good: pronounce both like "began"
Bonus round: "vegin" and "megin" are now verbs

(Side note: in my limited experience, AI typically accomplishes the opposite. Precise descriptions of the contents of the image, but not necessarily accurate or useful for understanding the point)

I think an important nuance here is that alt text should always be accurate, but not necessarily precise. Describing every trivial detail of an image is a waste of everybody's time, but you should definitely take as much space as needed to describe all the *important* details, and try to convey the feel.

To expand on and synthesize these posts, the Dunning-Kruger effect comes into full play here: if someone acts like they know what they're doing, they're probably just unaware of alternative possibilities (or in some cases willfully "unaware" that alternatives are viable).
Someone who really knows what they're doing typically just does it without thinking or making a big deal of it, and will a) assume everyone else also already knows a lot, and b) add caveats everywhere

Simply replace "corporations" with "uptight suburban Jesus freaks" to uncover a secret strategy already in use by many.

We absolutely do have the technology for those things already, it would just be "more expensive" in the sense that the long-term costs of fossil fuels are all externalized.
There are certainly a few things we don't have the technology for yet, but mostly in synthetic chemistry, and the amount of fossil fuels used for that is a tiny fraction of global consumption.
The hardest problem would be weaning off of industrial agriculture.

Oh, and in addition to single-provider public healthcare, we really really need single-provider public legal counsel. No for-profit justice.

Oh yeah, you mean we don't have the infrastructure in place. That's true, but it's also something we can and should start fixing whenever we want. China, for example, is already years ahead of everyone else on this with their huge solar fields. And sodium ion batteries are finally at a point where they're practical, especially for bulk grid storage of power.

Further thoughts:
• Peg congressional salaries to some function of federal minimum wage
• Civil and criminal fines and fees must be defined as a percentage of the offender's net worth
• Being convicted of bribing a government official, or of accepting a bribe as a government official, is an automatic capital offense
• Eliminate most executive powers, esp. any non-emergency-related domestic action (undocumented immigration is not an emergency)

Quite possible. But far more convenient for them, if true, for us all to keep talking like it's just incompetence.
