… not sure. Are you asking where I live? UK 😅
Crims steal $35,000 by manipulating weather data on two separate occasions this month :flan_facepalm:
“In both cases, it sounds like someone infiltrated the part of Paris’ Charles de Gaulle International Airport that housed the weather station of Météo France and then exposed the instrument collecting that data to a heat source, causing short term temperature spikes of [4–5℃]. These spikes lasted only a few minutes, but were enough to pay off longshot wagers made by two Polymarket users on the daily high temperature in Paris, the result of which was determined exclusively by the readings at the airport.”
I learnt how to do raymarching to give a virtual heart to my wife for our anniversary :flan_heart:
TIL that in the UK you can order #oestrogen gel online, without needing a doctor's note or anything like that, to help someone going through the menopause allieviate some of their symptoms. Like, you could order it on behalf of a menopausal person, and without invasive checks you can have oestrogen gel go to the people that really need it. Seems like a really handy thing for folk to know! :flan_thumbs:

@littlerao@chaos.social @forgejo@floss.social This is news to me too! I've been wanting a bit more notice than “we recommend you update immediately”.
I've asked RSS Parrot to make a feed, and now we can hopefully get the same updates by following @codeberg.org.forgejo.security-announcements@rss-parrot.net .

@cblgh@merveilles.town aw thank you so much! And you had lucky timing, too… in one aspect IRL I was feeling underappreciated today ❤️🩹

I gave her an Easter egg on our first date, which ended up being an eggcelent marker for figuring out how long we had been together. We got married exactly four years later, and that was 13 years ago!

@vulgalour@birdbutt.com You might have luck with Helen Howes: OPTS006 from https://helenhowes-sewingmachines.co.uk/thumbscrews.html is the right category and if she has the one you're looking for then it's 50p (although minimum order is £5 + P&P)

@dzwdz If you use pledge() with non-NULL execpromises, then the unveil state persists into the exec'ed process too.

@mccd Ooo, this is nice! After discovering OpenBSD's unveil, I've wanted something simple I can use with Linux too :flan_thumbs:

A lot of #git commands are annoying on #OpenBSD because their output always fills the screen: e.g. “git branch” shows
main
my-other-branch
~
~
~
~
~
[and so on, filling the screen]
To fix, run
git config --global core.pager 'less -c'
but beware! Using this setting on Linux *causes* the same problem we saw on OpenBSD, since less interprets the “-c” flag the opposite way.
