Green carpet moss on a tree trunk, with 3-5cm long fern-like mossy strands. A salmon-coloured coral-like fungi grows from the tunk. If you can identify any of the species in the pic I'll PM you more from this place.

@cejjacobs @benroyce @mihamarkic @rubbel @joacim @randahl Flash charging has arrived in China too. Swapping EV batteries may be redundant soon as BYD and CATL have amazingly fast tech rolling out:

Western brands will follow before the decade is out.

Earlier in the week my wife and I spent a couple of nights up at Alexandra Headland. Was good to have a little time off work. I still have plenty of leave to take despite the few months we took off in EU last year.
The lorikeets must be fed by the guests at this place, we would get a half dozen at a time come visit.

I have said this before, but I am all for #ChangeTheDate of #AustraliaDay
A neutral, unifying cheeky date:
May Eight.
Say it as a one syllable word.
Mayyyyyte.

@Ashmire @MegaMichelle @CosmicRami When they emerged from Integrity, the awaiting naval team on the "porch" inflatable platform, fitted them with safety gear for being winched to/traveling in the chopper. This included the helmet she is holding in the pic.
In the NASA stream, after touchdown you can see Glover remove his when he is seated in the same position as he is seen in this pic.

@ajft@aus.social yeah frustrating as heck. If I get an EV I’d be tempted get a set of go-jack car repositioning dollies when these idiots block charging spaces. Sadly not suitable for you when biking.

@backupbear@aus.social All good. There's plenty of scenic places along that road, and the Apostles point is among the best. Such an iconic Aussie place. Looks like great weather.

@backupbear@aus.social please disregard a suggestion from a random internet person if you already know, but I recommend (if stairs are your friend) the Gibson Steps a few minutes drive back east. You can walk to the water and the view is great back to the Apostles viewing platform and the cliffs.

@pelagikat fantastic! I remember ABC’s article about The Quoin and their hopes for it.
This is great news for the effort and the species.

@violet I’ve stopped playing STO, has DS9 Instance 1 died off the role playing? It used to be interesting bringing up the local chat if I found myself there.
For here on the Fedi, I suggest @USSJoshuaNorton - they RP from an era slightly before STO branches off, and I saw a few days back they were just starting up a new story/phase.
I have a short story account here I neglect a lot but have a few posts so far - @Twantin

@ingram @BruceMirken in Australia we have cheaper EV sedans than the Ioniq6. BYD Seal, Kia EV4, starts at around AUD$50k drive away. Madza 6e not far off that coming soon. Xpeng M03 likely under 45k.
There are EV SUVs cheaper than 50k that have the same volume as a sedan. GAC (46k), Geely EX5 (45k), Leapmotor C10 (48-54k).
The economics is getting better, especially if we never see fuel under $2/litre ever again.

I've had issues getting videos to load from my mobile, but it looks like no worries uploading on my PC.
