@benroyce Star Wars is science fiction? I always thought it was consumerism and merchandising based on awful fantasy movies with a weak allegory of the Vietnam conflict and ripped off Authurian legend, annoying characters and bad romance writing.

Platner was running virutally unopposed, still ran into a miryad of scandals & only came away with 72 percent of the vote verus zombie candidates. Meanwhile, there are 5 qualified candidates in stalemate for governor. If winning the Senate seat is so important to Dems, why did they run the worst out of gov/sen dem candidates for that seat?

@Catvalente@wandering.shop Platner is an attempt by DSA and Sanders to make a populist cult on the Left that doesn't care about candidate standards just blindly supports the party. Everything with Platner is "oh but Collins is worse!" Its fear tactics. The truth is that neither Platner/Collins should have office + if the Maine Democrats had run one of the vetted Dems in the now ranked choice election for Governor, they would win the Senate race easily. Now its possibly doomed.

It's a gd pamphlet. Ppl are acting like it's an uncovered elite book. Further, the pigs in A.F. are literally an allegory for Stalin + Trotsky... Stalin literally defeated the Nazis w violence. It's probably the only good thing he ever did. He did @ 1st try to appease Nazis with treaty & we know how that worked out right? Ok, so how you beat Nazis then? From history, what's the only thing that worked?

Platner also told Sanders and Warren he would have no more scandals after the Nazi tat, which he also lied about. When there's no one to vote for, I vote for no one because that difference shows up in the totals for campaign stats. I've turned in a couple nearly blank ballots when I lived in Maine before

I am voting, I dont live in Maine anymore so thankfully I don't have to bear this nonsense if I don't want to, mostly I just want to point out that all the Maine Dems had to do was run not Platner and not Mills and they prolly would have won easily, but now????? Not selecting a candidate on your ballot is still voting. I always vote budget and refs.

It literally is the case. His whole campaign is a massive fraud. DSA wanted a "working class" guy, Platner is a rich kid, w/ a lawyer father & the oyster farm is his mom's oyster supply for the restraunt she owns. He also lives off of disabilty. His working class image is a creation of DSA handlers. ME independent voters will see through it.

@Catvalente@wandering.shop The party has a strategy team and they are clearly ideologues/awful. Platner was hand picked by DSA and backed by Bernie Sanders and endorsed by both Sanders and Warren. There are plenty of articles about it published in a wide variety of creditable sources.
