@VeroniqueB99@mastodon.social Vincent Racanello (Columbia University) shares the numbers of covid victims every year with his virology lectures (ranked). If I get the time, I'll find this years virology lecture numbers and pass them on. Though with the MRR vaccination numbers declining, we'll probably start to see those disease increase. I need to find their CFRs. So I can model outcomes.
He also has a podcast called TWiV (This week in virology). Highly recommend.

@je5perl@eupolicy.social @mullvadnet@mastodon.online That also makes no sense, since its been rejected several times already. It should require 100% of the council to vote Yes to pass. That would make sense.
(b) it shouldn't have even been raised again after its first rejection.
I know this is an idealisation rather than reality. Perhaps this should also be the change required in the Eu commission rules and laws.

Rule: borrowing against your shares or any sort of practice which turns shares into an eqivalent financial or economic traded value is taxable income.

@VeroniqueB99@mastodon.social 🤮 This is why USA sucks. Remember when USA's biggest issue was was having more gun violence in schools then there were days in the school year. On average everyday had more than 1 school being shot up by children with accessible guns?
Voting republican is like shooting yourself in the foot. It's like Ingen bringing a tyrannosaurus to Los Angeles and letting it loose. It's like building a city on top of an active volcano; Or jumping out of a plane without a parachute.

Wish my country put this to a vote or just outright made it illegal. Based on the trackers I've seen on my works computers Amazon, Microsoft and Google trackers everywhere, tracker contracts are rife. Built into the system I think. I tried installing DDG but management blocked it almost immediately (got 2-3 days use) and other alternatives. I'm forced to use Chrome or Edge. Absolute trash.

@asokel@ohai.social Make sure the sunblock SPF rating listed matches the SPF you require. There was a study that showed that some sunblocks SPF ratings didn't match the sunblock. Some where even negligible when tested.
The study may require a bit of critique. I can't remember the main concerns, maybe low n number, testing conditions. \sigma\propto\frac{1}{n-1}.

The worst interviews ever were always the video/digital/AI interviews. Most were for a CSR role at a counter top.

I blame neoliberalism for evil Anthropic, evil moral AI companies. They need 110% regulation as strict as, or even stricter than, Nuclear. There needs a 110% enforceable by deatg to CEOs, investors and execs who breach any strong data-sovereign laws, retroactively applied. Something more stricter than the GDPR.
"While dogs may not have the same level of self-control as humans, studies suggest that they do possess some level of understanding when it comes to regulating their food intake. Dogs have an innate instinct to survive, which includes recognizing when they’ve had enough to eat. However, the level of self-control may vary from one dog to another, depending on various factors such as breed, age, and individual temperament." (Mpoulakis, 2023).

@Tutanota@mastodon.social The European Union has been disgraced by Chat Control and how they've been corrupted for big US tech.
This was never about Child Protection, as demonstrated clearly by the Lawsuit against Grok AI and whatever Musk has handed to him by the courts.
Roosters V Knights grand final!
Sad to see the Panthers out.
Cleary out with a compound fraction in his ankle. Super sucks. Get well soon!
Knights first grand final since 2001.
Knights could get their first premiership since 1997.

@noybeu@mastodon.social Is this in court now? Has the injunction been approved?
I would hope so, as the laws been rejected several times already (the court should just permanently injunct it, and anything similar).
I know it was posted 28 days ago, but your boost might suggest its still proceeding.
President Kennedy's famous Oval Office Address regarding the USSR's build up of weapon systems in Cuba.
I recommend watching `Thirteen Days' with Costner, Greenwood, Culp, Baker, et al. Exceptional movie regailing us of the events of 1962 that nearly destroyed the world.

DNS blocked and disabled google, amazon, etc. I can't use Canta for what it should be used for (degoogling) because of phone maker limitations, but I can use it in conjunction with Rethink. Though I think any app that works on airplane mode, shouldn't really be affected by DNS blocking. But I'm not willing to brick my phone... yet, to find out.

Description:
We suggest the possibility of a broader circumstellar habitable zone than considered so far. The factors taken into account – in addition to greenhouse effect – are tidal heating, and the role of ammonia ( A ) as a possible solvent instead of water ( W ) for biogenic materials. These factors can push the outer limit of the circumstellar habitable zones even further from their central stars.

By the way, if you're looking for a train simulator recommendation, look no further than Derailed Valley!
Check out Hyce's youtube page for further details. Hyce is a train museum steam train operator.
If I upgraded my graphics card to a 4070 or something, my desktop could run it off steam (I think). At least I could experiment with Fedora, Steam and Derailed Valley recs.

@scriptkiddie I'm guessing since AI enhanced hacking can hack personal devices in less than a minute through wifi/bluetooth ports. Using OpenAI infrastructure and servers, OpenAI would've taken less than a second to hack and gain full control of all of Hugging face's systems.

Sounds to me deliberate to showcase the power of AI to disrupt and cause mayham to anyone Trump doesn't like－ this one is a conspiracy theory though, until proven in 50 years when the facts are declassified and censored
