I do various projects, mainly open-source, mainly in Rust, and I frequently shift my attention between them based on my current hyperfixation.
Very much into stuff like information security, anime (especially Frieren), The SCP Foundation, and sometimes video games.
I'm also a little bit of an audiophile, music stimulates me when I'm working on da 'puter.

Like I can't stay still? I have no idea what's going on. Physically I'm feeling awful.
Maybe it's the #SSRI medication kicking in? Finally after over a week? So far it's only made me miserable with various side effects. The worst thing is that I'm on holiday now and now is really not the time for me to feel physically unwell.

Dla typowego użytkownika sprawa wygląda inaczej, ponieważ trzeba się liczyć z tym, że pieniądze przekazane Mullvad za ich serwis mogą być przekazane tamtej partii.

@scriptkiddie Funny how they don't include GrapheneOS for devices that support it, despite it being really the most secure, private and "degoogled" option for them. I wonder what's the authors motivation behind that.

@unknownuniverse@unkn.uk This looks like a slop article. The "two banking apps" aren't actually named throughout the entire article. As far as I know, Iode, like Graphene, doesn't fully work with the Play Integrity API (passes only MEETS_BASIC_INTEGRITY), so there's no reason why the "two banking apps" would work on Iode but not on GrapheneOS.

@matthieu @gael Google created Chromium, Kubernetes, Go, the Material Design language, and several open weight LLMs and at least one fully open LLM IIRC. Just a few projects I'm aware of.
As for Android updates, you can't just "stop having new features". If you refuse to update your device, your apps would eventually stop working, not to mention the security risk of not applying critical security patches to your device as they're discovered, making /e/ even more insecure than it already is.

@matthieu @gael It might be that Google's intentions behind making the source code of Android available aren't entirely genuine. However, stating "We don't need Google" when your product depends on Google's code, patches, and security fixes is hypocritical.
It's also not true that Google hasn't contributed anything significant to Android as you claim.

I just published a PKGBUILD for building and installing #Chilen on #Arch #Linux. I can't publish it on the #AUR as of now as account registration there is currently closed due to the recent supply-chain attacks. I will publish it once registration is open again.

The state of my personal website
I commented yesterday on one of the posts by @gael@mastodon.social, where he states "We don't need Google", among other things. I pointed out that #eos is based on #android, and therefore dependant on #google which started a discussion between me and several other people.
Everyone was polite and respectful, up until Gael called me a "Google zealot" and blocked me.

If that doesn't work then you could always ask the GOS community on Discord or even here on Mastodon for guidance with your specific issue. And if you decide to stop using Graphene then that's fine too, iPhone is a good pick like you mentioned.
Personally I love Graphene and I think it's the best OS ever but that's my subjective opinion. It may not work for everyone.
Some recent #android update removed the vibrant display color preset, now the colors on my screen are off...
It's sad that UE5's concept of "optimization" is just rendering everything at a lower resolution and using TAA on everything. I can't always enjoy UE5 games properly on my integrated graphics...
