Dumbfucks out here saying "you can't live without AI". Motherfuckers, I'm older than the personal computer. I'm a lot older than the Internet. I don't need a sparkly chatbot to tell me lies. It's not sentient. It barely functions as a set of instructions to accomplish any task. My speak & spell did better work than this bullshit. Yes, I do function every day without the use of this crap and will continue to do so. I don't need it and neither do you.

Got some cleanup and more touch up to do, but I am super tired now. Need to stop for today. Edit: This is 100% painted freehand. 1926 Singer 128 Pride machine. Once all the painting is done, I'll put her all back together and get her purring like a kitten. Folks are gonna need to stop with the "grandma on the computer" to mean uneducated users tropes soon. I was writing and debugging code to a cassette tape drive before a lot of folks who say this nonsense were even born. I have built my own computers from the case up. My first computer class in college was COBOL. I hard coded websites before there were any tools to do it with. I'm 52. What I find is that most of the yunguns have no fucking idea how they work and couldn't find a command line if their life depended on it. So, yanow, maybe stop.

I still miss my mountain cabin in New Mexico. Especially in the fall. Herds of elk casually strolling through my yard. Wild horses hanging out in the lot across the street. Wild turkeys bobbing around. Bears doing bear stuff, mountain lions screaming, coyotes hunting in a pack and from their yips you knew which ridge they were on...

Got a few more coats to go on the throat plates to complete the pattern, then this all dries and cures, I run a very sharp blade to separate the pieces that got painted together from each other, then several glossy enamel topcoats to seal everything. Once that cures, the mechanical guts go back inside, I rewire the motor and get it all running again. :) Getting closer to finishing this one! #VintageSewing #Sewing

Ok. Here's a short little video of the Singer 237 with her new paint job. Every brush stroke applied by me. It's not perfect, but what is? This all has to cure thoroughly over the next few days. I will then remove the nose cover and top cover, touch up those areas, let it dry overnight, and then begin the topcoat process. Enamel clear coat is going on top of the acrylic. This is fine as long as you're not rushing the acrylic cure. Anyway, once this is off the workbench, I'll start getting the motor, foot pedal, and lamp rewired, cleaned, and painted. #VintageSewing #Sewing #SingerSewing

Spent the day with my boy. Took him to Aldi's and got him a cart full of groceries, washed his clothes, treated him to tacos, and generally just loved on him. Life is hard, but he's got backup. :)
