mastodon 4.3.2+glitch.donphan.socialI am Primo and I like Pokemon.
There is a guy in Phenac with a similar name. He's okay.
I will always be in either "this is completely new to me and I'm not used to it" or in "this has pretty much always been this way" mood, sometimes both at once, rarely in a in between mood.
like, what is moderate familiarity?

@eivind@fribygda.no that question seems to have been answered in a very uncomfortable way.

@ronak@donphan.social people got really hung up on that onr tree 😅
I also enjoyed the story. It felt very real to have the adults blick off any attempt to deal with the problems while failing to solve them themselves.
Also, I'd love a (spirtual) successor to Pokemon Collusseum/XD with Sw/Sh art direction, now that yo mentioned that.

@ronak@donphan.social I still need to check out the DLC. Did enjoy the base game a good amount. I didn't sink the 300+ hours that I sunk into ruby back in the day, but I don't expect that from any game to be honest.
Felt the game got a lot of hate for pretty inconsequential things.

@anthropy damn, it does make it sounds super insignificant! And not "this thing will potentially break my intrained wrists"
That also just shows how fucky energy is in general. Such a huge amount of it stored in food and such a big requirement for life, and them some appliances use so little, and a tiny fraction in kinetic form is necessary for life altering experiences.

@anthropy I could see gun-nerds being ablr to relate slightly better with joules and kilojoules as these units are often used for how much power a bullet has when leaving the barrel. Fumnily enough that goes for springloaded plastic ball shooting toys as well as for arms enployed by military.

@anthropy yeah! I think penetration calculations go back to pressure, though not sure whether they go into (mega)pascal or psi.
My hunch is the latter. Well, when diving into the science various modes of failure come into play too, but that paper went way over my head.
The bike crash would probably injure me. Stopping the car sounds unlikely until I remember that pushing them wasn't too hard actually.

The more the astroturfing campaigns try to push the LLM BS on me, the more I get unterested in making thungs with my own two hands too!

@Chrishallbeck@mastodon.social I think it's dependend on my current situation but range from symbolic depiction (like the typical red cartoon apple) to decently detailed.
I think I can push towards more realistic and detailed forms with concious effort though. Maybe invoking the trick of rememberung acrual things, unstead of imagining.
Is that even a thing?
