mastodon 4.6.9I'm not an interesting person, but sometimes I make and do things. EN/DE. I only boost stuff that is properly CW'd and has image descriptions (where applicable).
My bicycle chain sprang off. I was just on my way home from a long ass work day. It's almost as if it had heard my plans to clean and lubricate the chain and gears last weekend which I didn't follow through.
I was too exhausted and done with the day to fix it on the spot, I didn't want to get dirty either. So I walked it home and put it in the shed. Gonna walk to the station tomorrow, too. I'll be going on a three day business trip anyway.
The new #AngineDePoitrine album is so good. Best food for the brain I've had in a long time.
Hello #fountainpen community and #QueerInkSquad ! I'm looking for a new notebook to replace a Leuchtturm and while I really like the Leuchtturm, I want to broaden my horizon and try something new. Please give me recommendations for a paper notebook:
- A5 sized
- dotted grid
- fountain pen friendly paper
- available in the EU
- (semi) hard cover
- bonus: bookmark ribbon
- bonus: small scrap pouch in the back

Hell yeah, the first #AngineDePoitrine cover videos are starting to appear! There was this guitarist who mangaged to recreate the microtonal sound by tuning just one string differently. And now, there's an awesome cover of Sherpa on the #SID6851 , the sound chip from the #C64. I didn't know that it supported microtonal music but apparently you can adjust the pitch quite freely. Enjoy!
Ugh, I slept like half of what I usually sleep. This will be a day with lots of caffeine.
Met a friend on the train who I haven't seen in a while and we talked about a cool detective puzzle game he designed for his son's birthday party, and about how shitty and overwhelming wage work is for both of us lately.
At least I remembered to take the #5e stuff with me. Gonna DM a one shot for/with colleagues after work, my boss was curious about this #dnd her son keeps taking about. #ttrpg #pnpde
I don't wanna fall into a research rabbit hole, so I'm putting this question on here.
Regarding the history of #GPU / graphics cards hardware architecture, I know that these chips have evolved from the need to calculate floating point operations efficiently. Nowadays, GPUs prominently feature high parallel processing capabilities. Is this an evolution from the floating point thing or did it stem from another step in computer graphics like increasingly complex shading?
