Apologies to folks who may see this in multiple places - I'm not active here as I've moved to sunny.garden, but there are still folks who haven't found me there.

My newest book is in preorder - EVERY SKY A STRANGER, the 2nd in Entangled Realities, a metaphysical science fiction trilogy set in worlds scattered throughout the multiverse where memory can't be trusted and reality itself is being manipulated for political gain.

I've been organizing a large annual community event now for 6 or 7 years & while it's a ridiculous amount of work & it pretty much consumes a large chunk of my summer, I also feel like it's a major thing I can do for our community's cohesion & health.

It's an agricultural fair that was originally chartered before the American Revolution, so it has a lot of history, too. 1/

I'm utterly done with irony , sarcasm & ridicule. None of that is cool & all of it is cruel. The world is in desperate need of earnest & kind, now more than ever.

No more dystopias, no more fiction that celebrates meanness of spirit. No punching down.

Hope is not naive. It's an act of will & extreme bravery.

Fuck caustic wit. Bring on whimsy. Softness is metal. Gentle is strength.

Empathy is a superpower.

Thank you to the folks who recommended new servers for me to move to. I've applied to sunny.garden, both because it feels like a goldilocks place - not too small, not too large, & it has a larger character limit. Writers gonna write! LOL.

When it's up and running, I'll probably keep this account active for a bit until switching over.

Thank you to all who boosted & funded my Kickstarter! It just ended, 131% funded & I have what I need to fund the audiobook of LITANY FOR A BROKEN WORLD & manage the pledge perks.

I'm so grateful. This was a gamble & I had no idea how it would go. It's not easy for me to do the self-promo thing. I honestly thought it would fizzle.

The audiobook corrections are in process. It should be out by the end of summer, if not before.

Greetings, all! I'm moving to sunny.garden. I imported all of you lovely folks that I follow & I hope you will follow me over there.

I'll keep this account active for a little while until I'm firmly established there.

Thanks!

@IcooIey@mastodon.green Every day on the farm is an arm day and a leg day. Plus we heat with wood. Which gets moved so many times.

This is a delight.

New blogpost! Including photos & stories of all the dogs who have owned us in the past 38 years. All of whom helped inspire Poplar from the Entangled Reality novels.

Hello - It appears as if zirk.us is at risk to be considered abandoned by IFTAS @iftas@mastodon.iftas.org

" The following domain(s) are entering the IFTAS Abandoned/Unmanaged Domain (AUD) review process:

mstdn.at
paxation.info
sigmoid.social
zirk.us

These nodes are open registration, are being used by coordinated botnets, and are unresponsive to reports, DMs, and Email communications."

Is the server still being actively managed?

Ahoy hive mind: does anyone have a company they highly recommend for making full color stickers? I'm looking for a US based manufacturer. This is for my kickstarter.

Thanks!
