The difference with the gambling ad ban law is there is a rich lobbyist whispering into the ear of every PM there is (or will be) telling them this law is baaaaaad. Same goes for much needed climate/environment laws.

Imagine that. ZERO personal tax in Australia for citizens and all we'd have to do is tax our gas the same as Qatar.

@Susan60 I often think that the only way we will ever achieve a free and equitable society is to start a new parallel society alongside the existing one. A parallel society that provides all the major components of a happy and prosperous life.
Over time people would see the benefits of the newer society and voluntarily opt out of the old one.
The main sticking point that I see is this parallel society would need some serious backing to get started.
