Casual ask for support! My name is Emiliano and I am an indie comic artist and illustrator - always publish under the Jectoons handle. I love community and free culture, and have been editing and publishing @fodongozine@sunny.garden for the past 3 years. This is a project in which I hire other indie artists to make 3-page comics to be released under free-cluture licenses, and do my best to make it open for everyone, releasing the issues for everyone to read after about a month! There's 25 issues already, go read some comics: https://fodongo.ca I want to ask that if you like this project and any of the other things I do, that you share it with someone else. And if you can help fund it, that would be amazing! I have a link: https://patreon.com/jectoons As well as an OpenCollective account: https://opencollective.com/fodongo And a : https://liberapay.com/jectoons I try to pay for all of this and to increase the amounts paid to artists every year, but I am currently working a minimum wage job that slows down my ability to cover these projects as much as I'd like to, because, you know: Life is expensive. Also I have cats. And they eat a lot. I am not particularly good at asking for money, but every now and then I need to do so. That being said, I know a lot of us are on the same boat, so if you can only share Fodongo around, that'd be great and much appreciated. Much solidarity, Emiliano #comics #zine #indieartist #freeculture #patreon

En muista milloin olisin nauraa käkättänyt ääneen niin paljon kuin tätä JO NYT LEGENDA(DA)ARISTA zineä lukiessa! Huikeaa Turku-lorea daideellisin kuvituksin. Kiitos kokemuksesta @Tuumaru@mementomori.social ja @Unetar@piipitin.fi 🥰 #Zine #Turku

I made a zine. It's out, it works, and it needs more eyes than mine — one person can't watch fifty states. In fact, I've already spotted stale sources and dead links so expect a new version soon. But, anyways... How to Genderfluid: a free harm-reduction manual. Language, wardrobe, binding and tucking safety, what it all costs, documents, and the thirty seconds after someone looks at two of your IDs and then looks up at you. Every legal and medical claim checked against a live source on 2026-07-30, with the date printed next to the claim. https://leifrogers.github.io/how-to-genderfluid/ The part I actually want to show people: every section declares when it was last checked and how fast it goes stale. The build fails rather than publish one that's aged out. The colophon prints the oldest check across all sections instead of the newest, because the newest would flatter it. Markdown in, imposed booklet PDF out. Source: https://github.com/leifrogers/how-to-genderfluid Most useful thing you can do is re-verify a section — read its sources again, fix what moved, bump the date, open a PR. Weekly CI catches dead links. It can't catch a page that still loads and now says something different. Second most useful: open an issue telling me where I'm wrong. All of it works without your name attached — private-email setting, throwaway account, issues only, or just email me. Contributing to a trans resource shouldn't cost you a permanent public record. It's in CONTRIBUTING. #Genderfluid #Nonbinary #Transgender #Zine #HarmReduction

And it's done Yesterday I finally launched my migrated new blog. I moved it from slop'py hugo to the Zine SSG. Page: https://lukasrotermund.de Code: https://forgejo.lukasrotermund.de/lrotermund/blog-zine Zine is not yet v1.0, so it's not polished in every aspect. But I had a lot of fun during the migration! The new site is a lot simpler the the hugo blog. No more shortcodes, no more partials, no more themes, no JS. I have to patch a few more things and I have to find a way to add a site map, but all in all I am very happy. Check out Zine SSG! #Zine #ZineSSG #WebHosting #WebDevelopment #Development #Blog #Blogging #SSG #Hugo #Gohugo #FckAi #FckLLMs

So, why do Venus flytraps need to eat? Someone asked me this, after seeing a page of the zine. Turns out that even though my project isn't finished, that question has been answered :). It's just that a ton of more fascinating stuff is coming. #sciArt #carnivorousPlants #zine #venusFlytrap #humanMadeArthttps://tippitiwichet.wordpress.com/bog-monsters-how-carnivorous-plants-do-the-things-they-do/

Should come as no surprise that the July photo zine is a monochrome affair. It's just my mood this winter. Most cities look better in B+W, and Melbourne comes up a treat. All that winter light making long shadows. ewenbell.com/zine New edition of the zine is on the website now, ready to download. No trackers or signup etc. If you like it, share it :) Have a great weekend everyone. #Photography #PhotoZine #Melbourne #Monochrome #Zine #CameraNotIncluded

In January, I finally made my first zine and Roll the Zine – a board and card game fanzine — was born. Yesterday's panel discussion about zines at #Finncon got me thinking about the hobby so I wrote down some initial thoughts after the first 7 months. https://hamatti.org/posts/thoughts-on-making-zines-after-7-months/ #zine #RollTheZine #blogging #blog #BoardGames
