Tending to my cuttings and you know what? Plants are amazing. Cut their head off and so many of them are like, "Fine. I'll grow feet."
I finally drew Morty the mock tomato frog. She always seemed like too much of a challenge, but now she seems like good practice. I have so many projects I'm working on, but I kind of want to draw her again, and maybe write a poem.

And yeah, I've rubbed elbows with a lot of them. Grew up in mansions. Had maids. Did a stint in boarding school. Very, I repeat very few had money because they were good at handling it. They might be good at making it without being good at handling it, through exploitation, lies, and cheating.
Excellent video on learning to love your heavy clay soil. Listening to it while I add layers of mulch and branches topped with handfuls of dirt to extend my garden today. I'll have a progress update soon.

@canyakker That's the kind I have, the Lined Snake or Dwarf Garter snake. I have two babies, about 4 and 5 inches long. Adults are only about a foot, such cute little babies :)

I could never figure out if she was super gullible, or if she thought they'd clue her in to the dishonest shit and teach her those shortcuts. She never tried to lead seminars though, so probably just gullible. Seems like the shortcut they were taking flew right over her head. Glad your mom found real estate, hope it works for her. Even more, I hope she figures out $$$ does NOT equal happiness.

She always works two or three jobs so she can afford to shop, and it's not enough for her. She used to be a "financial advisor", but yeah. Pretty sure her shopping addiction puts her in the "bad with money" category regardless. She's always complaining about her storage fees. Well.... own fewer things?

@superflippy@mastodon.xyz The only way out of that loop is to look around at what you have, and realize you have more than many people do. I learned that when I realized the peeps around me with tons of cash weren't happy. I kept the lesson with me when I was on the street, even when I only had an intact body to be grateful for. Some of my peers were missing limbs. I came out of the experience knowing the only thing I need, I can carry on my back. I live in a trailer. I am happy.
Listening to a podcast about reptiles and what not to waste your money on. This kid is so cute. He's bragging about the deals he got and I'm like "Ha ha. I shall purchase one bag of coir. It shall last me a year." Tank kit and substrate were less than $100. Everything else is free. Saw this species of snake listed for sale about $80. Lol.

@Space6host@fedia.social @sdw@mastodon.social Lol, before I read that I was fondly remembering the foggy night I got lost in the mountains on a road trip to NYC, when my GPS kept dying over and over. Toddler in the back seat sleeping, fighting to stay awake after 20 hours of driving, steep dropoffs and plenty of deer running around, both terrified and excited. Good times. I'd totally forge right ahead and idly wonder if my pocket change would be enough to get me out of any tight situations I might find.
Have you ever seen the show upload? Because I'm sad that I can't be the black and white avatar of a flapper causing scandal in Heaven forever.
Dang. The local pet stores aren't hiring. Maybe that's a good thing. Maybe I should try again later though.
