Jectoons

Casual ask for support! My name is Emiliano and I am an indie comic artist and illustrator - always publish under the Jectoons handle. I love community and free culture, and have been editing and publishing @fodongozine@sunny.garden for the past 3 years. This is a project in which I hire other indie artists to make 3-page comics to be released under free-cluture licenses, and do my best to make it open for everyone, releasing the issues for everyone to read after about a month! There's 25 issues already, go read some comics: https://fodongo.ca I want to ask that if you like this project and any of the other things I do, that you share it with someone else. And if you can help fund it, that would be amazing! I have a link: https://patreon.com/jectoons As well as an OpenCollective account: https://opencollective.com/fodongo And a : https://liberapay.com/jectoons I try to pay for all of this and to increase the amounts paid to artists every year, but I am currently working a minimum wage job that slows down my ability to cover these projects as much as I'd like to, because, you know: Life is expensive. Also I have cats. And they eat a lot. I am not particularly good at asking for money, but every now and then I need to do so. That being said, I know a lot of us are on the same boat, so if you can only share Fodongo around, that'd be great and much appreciated. Much solidarity, Emiliano #comics #zine #indieartist #freeculture #patreon

@publicdomainrev@mastodon.social @pdimagearchive@mastodon.social This is SO EXCITING

@jenni@mastodon.social It's a neat Pinterest alternative but we should keep an eye on the "AI-Powered tagging system" used by the main Cosmos site; whenever AI is mentioned like that makes me think they're training some Generative stuff, though i cant find anything about that anywhere. The Public Works thing is cool, though! A nice complement to Creative Commons' openverse; I do find it ironic that it's "Public Work (C)". I will probably not use it a lot because of the AI stuff and until there's more clarification in that regard, but it is neat.
