Bearina

Hi fedi folk - It’s lovely to be here! I just moved from mastodon.social to sunny.garden and think it’s time for an #introduction. I’m Bearina, 30-something from Mannheim, Germany. I make #zines, #ArtistTradingCards and have become a #printmaker recently. I also got back into #photography a few days ago which was my first hobby. I got my first point and shoot camera when I was 12 and fell in love with it before that, using my parents camera and strolling through the neighborhood. I like seeing creativity around me and love to get inspired by other artists. #SciFi is my jam and I love movies in general. And bears! Lovely creatures. #DeGoogling right now! Also I’m working on relaunching my website and make it more #IndieWeb friendly and #accessible but also give it a bit more personality. I want to start a blog and share my thoughts. Which reminds me: Words are hard! I try my best but not always succeed. I’m so excited to meet new people! I toot in German and English. #neuhier

@fffhaus@mastodon.social Willkommen im Fediverse! Schön dich hier zu haben ☺️

@owl @elilla omg yes please - I need this in my life!

@ewen@social.ewenbell.com I hope so, too :) I'm reading the May issue of your photography zine now. It's WONDERFUL! I'll definitely have to read more of them. Love your photos and the thoughts you're sharing. I myself don't really travel but I still agree that travelling to the places that fill your soul over and over again is a good thing. We don't have to see every country if we found a place already that we feel that great in. I'm so glad I found your zine, thanks for sharing :)

@ewen@social.ewenbell.com Wow! That’s what I payed in four months for Adobe in the end. That’s why I left, it just got too expensive. I don’t even want to know what I payed over the last 10 years or rather since I started my Adobe subscription in 2011. I have to admit that I’m not that hopeful with the future of Affinity. Canva bought them to make money and get as many Adobe users as possible to join them instead (at least that’s what I imagine). They will at some point probably jump on the enshittification train like so many good digital products of the part did (or they’ll put features their users love behind a paywall). (Don’t take this too seriously, I might be a bit too cynical here)

@ewen@social.ewenbell.com This is amazing, thank you! I’ll have to dive in later on my laptop (doesn’t work so well on the phone). I bought all Affinity products in V1 and V2, mainly to show that there’s interest. I was still using Adobe back then. Now I use the new Affinity for my private projects.

@cordialis@social.tchncs.de Danke dir! Gleich mal dran teilgenommen ☺️

@cordialis@social.tchncs.de @umfrage Die Umfrage startet erst in 2 Tagen. Wenn ich mich dann noch dran erinnere nehme ich gern teil 😄

@EZLorenzImagery@socel.net Simply amazing. I love the framing with the plants, too.

@EZLorenzImagery@socel.net Wow, fantastic shot!

@roy@yoroy.eu I saw it and found that it looked cool already but the perspective gives it something special for sure

@OliM Wahrscheinlich keine Babies aber im Heidelberger Zoo gibts Otter!

@AusderPampa Das hab ich gebraucht, danke!

@roy@yoroy.eu Oooo it works really well in the 3/4 view! Looks awesome!

@FlyingTerra@mastodon.art Bears, bees, antifascist shirt motifs including raccoons and possums or your favorite dinosaur maybe? If animals aren’t your jam: something referencing your favorite movie or band, an inside joke, a household item lying around. Hope that helps!

@Anke @samikelsh Cute!

@marcuwekling Die sind ja super 😊 Liebe die Buchreihe
