#introduction Hello (again), after a brief posting hiatus and a search for somewhere to migrate to, I am back on Mastodon! I've been on the fediverse since 2023 but grew tired of the mastodon.social experience and felt like it was time to spread my wings. A bit about me: I'm a 30-something fellow living in midwestern USA who works two jobs and takes care of two pets at home. I love #retrocomputing #retrogaming #writing #webdesign #electronicmusic #nature and many more things I can't think to list at the moment. I'm participating in Blaugust 2026 this year - a month of blogging in august! I've never kept up with a blog before and would like to try it. I'll be focusing on biology, science, and animal writing, with maybe some book reviews and other additional things. do i know any rss wizards? i've been trying to edit and maintain my own feeds but keep having issues and i have no idea what i'm doing wrong so I can not fix it.

problem: items will not show up, or some of them will, from months ago.

  • do you know a good template for a simple website update rss feed that i could use as a reference?
  • is there a free tool for this if not?

Caveat: I do not want to make social media (incl fedi etc) accounts for my websites. #smallweb #rss #neocities #website
