@paulos@dice.camp
this week has given me a real flavour for retirement and I liked it!
Oh man, this is such a mood, I absolutely cannot wait to retire, haha.

@trib@aus.social I don't even play DnD but that was great. I laughed out loud when I got to how far the fire would have actually gone on the map. 😂

@erikcats@dice.camp @paulos@dice.camp Mine's at 12 and I really hope I can last at my current job so I don't need to go finding a new one, because I haven't done that for sixteen years. 😬

@CaribenxMarciaX@scholar.social I'd swear I had added your blog to my RSS but apparently not. :notsureif: Done now. 👍🏻

@neatnik Yessss! I signed up with them like eight years ago now when I ditched Dreamhost, and have had zero regrets.

@nocontexttrek@mastodon.social I love your descriptions of O'Brien, they're always so good. 😂😂

@ketan@climatejustice.social Woahhhh! That first one in particular screams "Dune" to me, that's so cool.

@futzle@old.mermaid.town @ben@social.unixben.com @trib@aus.social I can't find it now, but I recall reading there's some actual standard that Apple has been working on along with various other password manager companies to make this a lot better and remove the lock-in particularly around passkeys.

@neko@aus.social @futzle@old.mermaid.town lol, they're still persisting with the "Change your password regularly" nonsense though:
Your password is over 2 years old. You need to change it to improve your account security.
Oh sweet, the Deep Space Nine documentary "What We Left Behind" is available freely on YouTube now.

@so_treu We've finally been having some #GloriousSydney here too, after a summer that was gross and humid! Huzzah for mood-improving weather!

@Shrigglepuss Very happy to report that all of these instances were already in the IFTAF DNI list, lol.
PSA for #Slack users: they've added an option to disable that horrible new URL display shortening nonsense, under Preferences > Advanced > "Shorten external links".
Unfortunately it only affects your messages not others, but still.

@oli @Shrigglepuss Ahh! Thanks I somehow missed the middle toot in this thread. :facepalm:

@neko@aus.social @futzle@old.mermaid.town I did this super-hacky thing ages ago to get the TOTP out of their shitty app and into 1Password.
...huh, that being said I just logged in and have a message under the "Security Actions" section:
The myGov Code Generator app is being retired, set up another sign in option.
And when you continue with that it actually gives you the option to use a bog-standard TOTP authenticator setup!
