I wonder how they'll like my GDPR data correction request 👍

oh btw, since France technically introduced partial outdoors smoking ban in mid last year
how's that going?
is it enforced in any way?
i suspect not knowing that nation but i'm curious :neofox_woozy:

i gave up, it's far easier and faster to read file in node.js, iterate through it, do changes i want and save the output
i wish it wasn't that way :neofox_woozy:

@thebluemarble@mastodon.com.pl ja będę polować na jakiegoś bardziej sensownego M720q
to jest ogólnie święty graal homelabu bo można podłączać niskoprofilowe karty pci-e bez żadnych hacków i specyfikacja dość współczesna na dużo rzeczy, a jednocześnie to jest kategoria tiny PC którą głównie hurtowo kupują firmy i się pozbywają po jakimś czasie też masowo, więc ceny bywają niezłe

Okay so in the past week i had an opportunity to install Windows 11 in Polish twice
and dear fucking god
Microsoft had a legacy of basically establishing computer-related terminology in Polish because otherwise it wouldn't exist in common language – all through Windows localization into Polish
and it was actually pretty good, sure some weird phrasing happened here and there but overall it was solid
and now Microsoft fully embraces machine translations everywhere, not only on their websites (these translations are atrocious) but in Windows as well
Windows 11 installation wizard alone – and that is the first interaction with the OS for most users – is full of very obviously missing context and weird unnatural phrasing
System UI is not better, only with older pre-W11 strings being overall good
They robbed themselves of that legacy and honestly laughing at crappy localization of Linux software is no longer justified, Windows is arguably even worse now

@nlupo@amikejo.xyz @oriiyon@eepy.moe then you chose a path which is valid, but there's a reason so few distribution actually chose it

TIL if you use iptables together with ufw and Docker, by default Docker is going to directly communicate with iptables
This is important because in this particular scenario using -p flag (ports: key in YAML) to map ports from the container to the host OS will set up ALLOW rules on all interfaces including the internet
and these rules will not be displayed in ufw
honestly i have no clue who the fuck thought this is a good idea but I am so glad that Docker is still utterly broken with non-1990s networking tech so nftables just doesn't work with it, saving you some trouble 👍

re: alko wzmianka

@SiteRelEnby@transfem.social I already have password-only luks encryption on boot so as long as I keep the device turned off when I don't use it, it's fine
Otherwise idk, risks are very unlikely anyway

@aens@transfem.social yeah, but you always have the hypothetical scenario of someone forcibly using your fingerprint for unauthorized access
In most jurisdictions cops can't force you to give them your password but they can legally force you to touch the sensor to unlock a device. And ofc they run enormous fingerprint databases to begin with

is there a fork of KeePassXC that supports generic FIDO security keys instead of being YubiKey-only?
iirc @lunareclipse@snug.moe was doing something with that so i'm pinging you just in case

@commanderred@chaos.social to be fair, I'm definitely not going to distro-hop but I had the chance to try Fedora Workstation (I chose it for my work laptop) and it feels great, I could daily drive that on my own hardware
