Smbsy
mastodon 4.7.3I'm a park ranger who mostly toots wildlife pics and drawings. Sometimes musical instruments, and other stuff.
Not as charismatic as yesterday's hazel handled broom, but I also mended a hay rake... For the second time in a month! I've no idea what my colleagues have been doing with it.
Anyway, the volunteers did some mowing today, and it held up. Very happy with it.
Last night I glanced at the sky because someone was flying a drone, and I also saw a satellite stream by... and a shooting star! All within 20 seconds.
First time I've ever knowingly seen a satellite! What are the odds? Then I remembered the tech bros and realised the odds are now very high. And that shooting star might have been a chunk of debris too :(
Maybe it wasn't.
Boy, I wish we could have nice things.
Met a grasshopper in the garden while I was pumping up my bike tyres.
Stopped by the old medlar tree on my way to nowhere in particular.
Met another grasshopper who also checked out my bike tyres.
Accidentally bought a book from a shop that does shipping with Amazon :(
It's not my fault, but I feel really bad about it. I haven't knowingly used Amazon for donkey's years.
Still, every now and then they manage to slip one past me.
You shouldn't need a smartphone to read a note from the postie :(
Last night Mrs Smbsy and I watched the 2019 Mackenzie Crook Worzel Gummidge for... perhaps the third time?
I didn't know it, but it's exactly what I needed to de-stress. It's just so calm and wholesome and, OK it's for children really, but it's just so lovely.
We have it on DVD. Dunno if it's on iPlayer anymore. I'm sure someone has put it up on YouTube.
Sometimes I forget I don't live in the universe where an image search for Patrick Moore will automatically result in splendid gifs of the preeminent astronomer-knight playing the xylophone.
Instead I live in the one that serves up images of a vacant cartoon starfish.
