When I host online meetings, I want them to start with me slamming my desk with my arms John Oliver style for the first 5 seconds while everyone remains muted and wait no this is a nightmare

Planning a trip to the ballpark with my daughter on the cheapest day with the cheapest tickets so we get some yummy hot dogs and ballpark food
Hats off of to @topher1kenobe@fosstodon.org and Aditya from @heropress@fosstodon.org for keeping it going all these years and bringing the stories of folks in WP to everyone. This is almost like a StoryCorps for WP
So…
“What we need is alpha males and alpha females who are going to rip out their own guts, eat 'em and ask for seconds.” -Hung Cao, Navy Secretary
Are we talking about a Slimer situation here where they eat it and it just drops to the floor through them? Or is this one of those infinite snake eating snake things once they establish the loop?

@britt@mstdn.games @macmanx@social.lol y’all need to stop, I’ve already sent Britt a lot of money for all the fidgets currently on my desk and I don’t have any clickers yet 😅
My wife said I can’t buy anymore right now… but she didn’t say I couldn’t start wishlisting for Xmas 😉

@Edent@mastodon.social this is so random but it’s a delightful story about the benefits of keeping archives around!

@ross@crikey.social I don’t ask AI to do things anymore, I have it make code that does things. Then I make it write UI for that code to give me an interface for running those things. I mostly build personal and internal tooling for my work.

@ramsey@phpc.social for science she should turn them off for the day and not tell you to see if it does effect anything

@devxvda@mastodon.ie it’s been a long time but I know these next few years will fly by and we’ll finally be at the end of 2020!

@sarah but the prohibition and criminalization of providing any Trans care — like in TX — is that now invalid because of protected speech precedent here? 🙃

@pikario@mastodon.gamedev.place @louisc@mastodon.social yes! It’s amazing the lengths Netflix will go to for ad power

@louisc@mastodon.social this is amazing! It feels like it could have been straight out of a Doctor Who story line and the Netflix logo hat kids are great

@Codeberg@social.anoxinon.de what if you had challenges for AI to perform that made it mine bitcoin for you and you just block them at the end anyway 🤣

@augieray@mastodon.social but how can blue check accounts possibly be bots, they are just profit centers for Elon. /s

@vincent@social.lol @ckr@social.lol I didn’t realize the plan was to have “liberty and justice for all” on it, now that’s too on the nose

@sarah@phpc.social @longhorn@phpc.social nope and it’s only getting worse in TX and other alternative states :(

@nileane@nileane.fr I keep wondering if there were ever a scenario where JK would relinquish all profits from HP IP and have it go to a non-political charity — if she somehow isn’t directly tied to profits — would there ever even be a way to rehab HP? Not that she’d ever do that or even be willing to lose her crusade against Trans people
