@alice@lgbtqia.space This lock nonsense is the dumbest tradition I can think of. Maintenance workers have to remove these "symbols" on the regular to maintain the integrity of the structures. And it lacks any aesthetic to boot. So it won't stay on that fence or bridge for "eternity" Plant a Sequoiadendron giganteum tree in a national park and hope that corrupt politicians won't remove the protective status of the land.

@thegarbagebird The economic crisis weakens currencies. There is a fair chance that Trump's crypto friends recognized a chance. @megatronicthronbanks @ketan The Cybertruck is a fiasko of a different kind. Worse than Tesla image as a whole, the Cybertruck is a design clusterfuck and an endangered vehicle to be pulled from streets for safety reasons even in the US. Most of the world the Cybertruck doesn't meet the requirements for safety in the first place. Hence design clusterfuck aside from being the ugliest car on the market.

@michael_w_busch And while Starlink claims they can bring down defective satelites, a claim I only partially believe timeframe wise, every time one of those many staellites is hit with an asteroid or piece of saterlite, space debris from rockets, more pieces shoot around at a davastating speed, damaging more satellites. It will never end. These satellite replacements will require tax subsidies... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LuVOM067OOo

@michael_w_busch @sundogplanets True. It doesn't mean the smaller objects are harmless, esp when it comes to comercial satelliites where cost cutting is standard operation and Musk is infamous for cutting corner on the expense of safety. Musk is also infamous for milking government grants and exploit via government contracts. Starlink is a very questionable business model and the more satellites are knocked out by fist size bullets and need replacement, cost cutting may be even more prevalent.

@cR0w AI is a catch all term. In warfare AI often translates very precise targeting, at least if you believe the weapon nerds when talking about a German beast that can target tanks with missiles on the go with excellent precision. Ukraine drones hit their target thousands of miles away and when jammed switch to pattern recognition aka AI and find their target, or exercise deflecting maneuvers to give the targeting drones an opening. Ukraine is the defender.

Well couples don't attach them to bridges and fences for you to have a cheap source of locks 😂

And the fate of these locks is a heavy duty cutter clipping the metal and thus destroying the lock and recycles with all the other old metal.

So the symbolic gesture is as self-delusional as many promises at the altar but with the locks it is waste of resources. Sure lock sellers love the tradition for obvious reason. But where is the romance in that.

LOL!

Ukraine still accomplished its goal. The missile probably was the reason for the impressive image of that flying lit that vent viral.

There is a massive misinformation campaign going on in the US about the 3rd term presidency.
1) Iran would give Trump war powers. It doesn't. Trump can't declare war, hence no war powers.
2) War powers still don't prevent elections in the states. It is up to the states, not the president.
3) Trump is kicked out of office regardless on January 20th, 2029. That's it. Trump turns into a pumpkin.
4) Trump is not eligible for reelection since it would be his 3rd term.
