I just discovered subvert.fm - a community-owned alternative to Bandcamp. As an artist or label, you can sign up for free and become an "owner", meaning you can vote on the platform policies.
Pretty darn interesting, and I'll explore more of it. But don't forget, Bandcamp is still amazing for artists. 💪❤️
I'll die screaming "Fuck streaming!"
I'll be taking some time off Mastodon to put my affairs in order. And just to be clear, not in a suicidal way!
I'm just generally tired of everything that is the internet. As great as Mastodon is, it's still a social network, and people and feeds are involved. I guess my social battery keeps draining faster these days.
But let's keep in touch! Here's how you can reach me:
- Email: sharan@onajkojikuca.com
- Newsletter (in BCS): https://buddhaletina.beehiiv.com/subscribe
- English blog: https://arnel.berablog.dev
I'm not on Twitter, TikTok, or Bluesky.
My Facebook and Instagram are still indefinitely deactivated.
Stay cool, enjoy the sunshine, and hydrate. All the love!
I totally missed it; yesterday it's been five years since the almighty LG Petrov left us.
I met him when we organized a gig for Entombed AD in Sarajevo; one of my favorite nights ever, and a person I got to meet through the amazing work we did as booking agents.
The big step for poor ol' internet user with an archivist syndrome: I told Mastodon I want my posts older than 6 months deleted.
It's a strange, easy feeling that swept over me.
AEW has launched its streaming services: www.myaew.com
@HailsandAles@metalhead.club knows what he's talkin' about.

I just paid five bucks to @kagihq@mastodon.social - let's see my true search needs and how Kagi will fit my goals. I firmly believe it would be an invaluable tool if I were still a journalist.
Luckily, I'm still curious.
I understand this, but Mastodon also doesn't have E2E encryption, and no one is losing their mind.
