Neighbors let their cats out when the weather is nice which is WILD considering we have bears and coyotes. Anyway, they keep comin round my place and really upsetting Maia. She is so scared every time a strange kitty approaches our screen door. 😭

I’m probably not the first person to do this, but I made an ios Shortcut to strip queries from a URL in the clipboard and copy it back to the clipboard. I was doing this manually for god knows how long LIKE A FOOL. 😂 The shortcut also leaves any fragments intact. Feedback welcome!

Injuries accumulated today:
- Cut hand with box cutter
- Slipped on cardboard pile leading to cuts on food and bruise on arm
- Bashed elbow into door frame
- Blunt force laceration from refrigerator door to thumb resulting in TOO MUCH BLOOD

I will be celebrating Easter for the first time since I was a child this year. Because it just so happens this year Easter is on my spouse’s birthday! Which obviously means he’s Jesus. ✝️🙏

Spoke on the phone and they refused to budge on the 60% increase in premium even when I brought up how cost prohibitive it is year over year and how do they stay in business as a company if they let people cancel without at least offering a discount!!
The only thing they said I could do was reduce coverage. But if you reduce coverage then file a claim, you can’t increase coverage in the future. 😡
Cancelled two of my three plans right there on the phone.

Okay second bad thing about stand up comedy is I keep getting headaches after the shows because I end up not drinking nearly enough water for the 5 hours (driving to show, waiting for list to open, watching everyone perform, driving home)💀

@fortyseven@defcon.social Just came back from watching it myself. Haven’t seen the series but I played the game. I felt like they could have pushed harder with the unease, with the creeping sounds, with the thing being just out of sight, with ending up in the same place you just were. That coupled with having a kind of tangible antagonist made me feel like someone made the creators pull back to make the movie more digestible, which feels disappointing for an A24 film. I enjoyed it, but it could have gone harder.

Gave The White Lotus season 1 a try. I didn’t know anything about it going in. 1/10 do not recommend. It’s just. Boring. The swings they were trying to take at class and privilege were… honestly could barely call them swings. More like light delicate touches. I kept watching mostly thinking there had to be some payoff. And it didn’t have one. It was like watching a “slice of life” show set at a resort except not entertaining or engaging. I want my 6 hours back 🥲

Disregarding all music of an entire genre due to the gross practices of the industry they work in doesn’t feel right to me. There are artists who’ve committed suicide as a direct result of the industry & fan culture that nonetheless put their whole heart & soul into their art to express themselves. It’s possible to hold anger & distrust for the industry without disregarding the artists working within their culture
