I created a 3D-printed version of the @FediverseSymbol@typo.social ⁂ as a simple coin. It has roughly the size of a €2 coin and can be found here: https://3dprint.social/models/tsx6w81ggtxm There is a multicolour version and single-colour cut-out versions for either magnets, coins or key tags. The cut-out version is not very stable, but it works OK. Ich spiele schon länger mit dem Gedanken, dass es cool wäre, wenn es ein Postkarten-Design gäbe, das man Organisationen und spannenden Einzelpersonen, die noch nicht im Fediverse sind, zuschicken kann. @mossesandbees@scicomm.xyz hat ein kleines Design entworfen. Die Frage ist: Soll die Rückseite mit oder ohne fertigen Text sein?

I did read a lot of @_elena@mastodon.social on #wsocial, especially the Ghosttown one. And I had two questions on me: Is the "W" in wsocial for winning? And is this "Ghosttown" winning*? Luckily, wsocial is built on top of Atproto and uses a PDS, and this has a public API. So, I created: https://w-for-winning-questionmark.playground.54gradsoftware.de/ This updates weekly and compares the wsocial account activity numbers to staff of European institutions. *Depending on what the definition of winning is for this VC Funded company, I would not say it is currently very successful. Personally, I would say that a network only for verified accounts can never win, but the numbers are also still quite low. The number of accounts that have at least one post in the last 31 days is, with 1,061 accounts, lower than my "local" Mastodon instance, Norden.social. Please note that the numbers on the website are only as accurate as the publicly available data, and for legal reasons they may not be entirely accurate. Frage bei der #2mr: Was wünschen sich Künstler:innen im Fediverse?
(Von mir zusammengefasst.)
- Algorithmen, die die Timeline übersichtlicher machen. Wenn Algorithmen, dann immer selbstbestimmt.
- Einfache Brücken zwischen den offenen Netzwerken mit guter UX.
- Immer wieder Werbung für z. B. Mastodon.
- Hands-on-Mitmachangebote fürs Wechseln und Umtopfen von Communities
- Im Informatik-Schulunterricht mal einen Mastodon-Server aufsetzen (?!).
- Spenden im Fediverse: IMHO wäre ein Flattr im Fediverse großartig. Nicht nur, aber auch für Künstler*innen.

Thanks to @kekskurse@chaos.social, the project has evolved from an idea into hacky software.
All you need to do is install @owntracks@fosstodon.org and configure the correct server. You can then log in to the custom server software via the web GUI. After that, you can select people with whom to share your location, but more importantly, you can see which hexagons you have already visited. If you zoom in, the hexagons become smaller and more detailed.
If there is interest, @kekskurse@chaos.social might open source it.

Stipendiaten erhalten auch Zugang zu Mentoren, können an Stipendiatentreffen teilnehmen und wir helfen dabei, das Thema nicht „nur in der Schublade“ zu lassen, sondern es in Podcasts, Artikeln, Vorträgen, Postern etc. zu verbreiten. With the basic concept of a Federated Marketplace, we could build a decentralised Amazon, Airbnb, BlaBlaCar, etc. Of course, it is already possible to use a different online shop for each of your needs. I do this personally, as well as for multiple organisations. It's always a lot more work than just buying stuff on Amazon, for example. For me, it's because Amazon has one basic workflow. Most sales are similar. I have a single history of orders, invoices, etc. I also ran an online shop and always sold more on other marketplaces than on my own shop. Good platforms are missing for other use cases. It would be great if every local tourist organisation could have its own domain and marketplace, and if I could also book in my preferred way (on another marketplace). It would of course take a long time to develop the software and then build up the communities, but I think it's possible! @jze@norden.social Das stimmt leider nicht ganz. Bei dieser Instanz ist der strenge Freigabemodus aktiviert. Das heißt, dass alle Termine vorher manuell freigegeben werden, bevor sie auf der Plattform landen. Das wurde aber nur für die Erstellung von Terminen auf der Plattform umgesetzt (aus Budgetgründen). Das heißt, es wäre aktuell nicht möglich, dort Termine zu fördern: https://der-smarte-gemeinschaftskalender.de/Terminverwaltung/Instanz/#strikter-freigabemodus-strict-mode Grundsätzlich merken wir, dass man für diesen Use Case, aber auch für die diday-Terminplattform, eigentlich noch selektive Fördierung bzw. Anzeige auf der Fediverse-Seite einbauen müsste.
