Der #Fediday2026 war schön. Beim nächsten Fediday wünschte ich mir ein*e Kulturantroplog*in die über die Kultur des Fediverse referiert. Sowie den Versuch mehr "Minderheiten", migrantische Milieus, Behinderte, Arme, Teenager, zu kontaktieren und einzubinden. Denen Bühne und Raum zu geben. Ich weiß ist schwer... #Fediday

Dear Fedi friends, I want to share a discovery that made my MONTH. 10 days ago, while I was putting together the slides for my presentation at Berlin #FediDay, I noticed a new entry in the @cercle@reseauculture.fr directory (the Mastodon instance set up by the Service Numérique of the French Ministry of Culture): ✨ @MuseeOrsay@reseauculture.fr ✨ Ouiiiiii! Das erleichtert ungemein die Kommunikation, um die Töne a la "... bei Mastodon ist doch keiner, da erreichst doch niemand!" Nope! Die Reichweite ist da und jetzt auch sichtbar mit der neuen Fedwings-Anwendung. 👋 Hallo liebe Volkshochschulen – jetzt aktiv werden und wunderbar teilbare und schick aufbereitete Zahlen vorlegen. 👉 Bisher wurde das händisch grob ausgezählt, was ein Post so erreicht hat an Konten – jetzt gehts auf Knopfdruck. Before I went on stage at Berlin #FediDay the MC mistakenly said "the following presentation will be in German." My friends in the audience giggled because they know I don't speak it. And then surprise! I started my presentation with "Hallo zusammen. Vielen Dank an alle Organisatoren des Berlin Fedi Day." @samvie@chaos.social's reaction - who was sitting in the front row - was priceless 😂 Special thanks to @Tobias and a couple of FediDay angels for letting me practice with them. Next year: 4 sentences!
