Different people have different ranges of what they consider just "any conservative opinion", so I honestly don't know what kind of scenario you're talking about. Can you elaborate on what kind of "any conservative opinion" you've seen this happen to?

@deirdresm@hachyderm.io @jonny@neuromatch.social So when I was in high school or maybe freshman college, I read this essay by Robert Anton Wilson where I guess he was thinking about what the future of personal computing was going to look like from a mid-1970s popular science progressive viewpoint. And there were these two future guys talking, they met in a bookstore or something, and one asks the other "do you know how to program?" and the other says "I'm literate, if that's what you mean".
