UBI reads like Welfare, more radical would be paid sleep, up to 8h. Monetize wellness, penalize stress & greed. Offline monitors generate a blockchain (submit voluntarily to community bank) verify how much paid sleep you put in. Sleep is the new work? UBI by REM! Absurdity never stops fascists, fight back! https://www.propublica.org/article/you-snooze-you-lose-insurers-make-the-old-adage-literally-true
Video from this quadraphonic miracle at the Peacock Lounge has been edited together from, of course, FOUR different cameras and synched to top notch audio then posted to the Internet Archive (abandon coporate social media already!)
Thanks to all who performed and all who came out to hear this music created live and in person. Use or lose your underground music venues!
Special thanks to Jake Rodriguez for live sound engineering, and to Catherine Lee, Theresa Currie, and Spencer Decker for capturing video. As ever, gratitude to Jerome Walker who provides the venue for these amazing artists.
Oh, and thanks to the artists:
Ven Voisey, Thomas Dimuzio, Holy People, Angst Hase Pfeffer Nase

No one is like Ven Voisey, something singular will go down TONIGHT inside the Peacock Lounge 8pm. Also, a new Oscar's Tacos pop up is inside Woods next door
Ven Voisey
Presence irreducible, being itself, without translation or utility, is our substrate beneath perception. The ability to summon presence without attachment, subjectivity itself without identification, is an approach to art that defies easy description. Ven Voisey summons physical space, in sound, with kinetic automata, through time and motion. This isn't meant to be art speak but an accurate explanation of why you have to be inside the Peacock Lounge for what will happen. Much more fun than artspeak might imply, Voisey is easy to be around and no genre or jargon explains what he does. Close as we can tell, he's an artist marvellously attuned to form, material, technology, and ontology, modulating time and presence into something perceptible that leaves you saying, holy shit.

Homo sapiens are 200k years old, Toba eruption 74k yo reduces global human population to ~10k people. White Sands, NM footprints 24k yo, Chiquihuite cave artefacts in Mexico date to 30k yo, a failed colony? Pre-clovis spears at Debra Freidkin site TX date to 33k yo, while Monte Verde in Chile artefacts date to 33k yo, layer mixing makes 14k-19k more likely. See also Taima-Taima in Venezuela petroglyphs 14k yo. And Coprolites (5 fossil turds) inside Paisley Caves in Oregon date to 14k years old.
Weirder still, this researcher found "about 2 percent of the DNA in some South American natives appears to be closely related to that of ancient Australasian remains from Southeast Asia, his team sequenced 10,000-year-old genomes from Brazil and were shocked to find this same genetic signature. “even if ancient people did cross the ocean, they’d have had to then traverse the Andes and the Amazon, without leaving any trace. “Every new explanation we come up with is worse than the previous one.”

@Tamtam@mastodon.de @hzulla@infosec.exchange We agree. I read you as saying AI is an easier pill than sustainability for a public to swallow because it is somehow status quo. You don't agree with the public sure, but I think you were saying, however cynically, it passes some standard of logic that sustainable alternatives do not when in fact it cannot so my reply stands.
