Translation: "Let them rape you, then sue them later, so we can say you don't have a case or they have immunity which we just invented."
Yes, these fiends do think like that.
Everyone involved in her arrest and incarceration should get the gallows.

"Maybe it is time to redo what keybase was meant to do – make cryptography and secure communications avaliable for everyone. "
If you are not part of the fake nerd shill brigades, the fed mockingborg crew will immediately attack, obfuscate, and FUD the effort. I've seen it happen countless times:
Coder: "Hey, guys, look at this new cool app I'm working on."
Shills 1-100: "You can't do that. We already have this. Why would you want to to that? You're a cop/fed/shill/moron."
Brainless mindslaves in the same forum: "Yeah, dude, you're a nazi. Ain't using your crapware."
Secret IRC channel: "Make sure any time any one mentions this dude's project you attack, spread criticism, and FUD about it."
Secret TechBro Board Meeting: "This kind of stuff threatens our business model. Pay more shills to denounce it."

I was in Lafayette last week down by Palm Island south of Abbeville. The view of all the spring greenery was very relaxing.
There is an area with ancient oak trees on Live Oak Road there.
You might check out the Cajun swamp tours in Acadiana Park area.
Then you have the Atchafalya swamps and bayous to the east of Lafayette. I'll bet the fishing in some spots is great. Even if you don't like fishing, you might enjoy just getting out on a boat and looking for gators.
There are many lakes and bays and bayous just a few miles south of Lafayette and probably more of them south of Baton Rouge. If you want a really nice Sunday drive, pack a picnic lunch and dinner, then you might try taking highway 82 from Palm Island State Park toward White lake and maybe all the way to the Cameron ferry. If you want a really long cruise you can continue on to the Sabine Pass Lighthouse to Sabine Lake on the Texas border. I don't know the ferry schedule so you would want to check ahead.
The Atchafalaya River flows south between Lafayette and Baton Rouge. If you like river boating there's your huckleberry.
If by chance you are passing all the way east through New Orleans, you can try their famous chicory coffee at the Cafe du Monde right down town. I've actually never stopped at their cafe, but I really like their coffee and I'm going to resupply soon, and if I ever get the time and chance I would visit their cafe to get it before it is canned.
Acadian Village has reconstructed old-style homes along a bayou. There are some museums in the area. I would check with the local colleges and universities. For example I visited a museum at Penn State that had gemstones like emeralds and rubies and diamonds almost the size of golf balls. You never know what wonders some universities have hidden in their art and natural history museums until you see them.
No visit is complete without checking out some hole-in-the-wall thrift stores. Just say'n.
If you have never eaten gumbo or jambalaya now is your chance to find them.
Also you might find spring rolls made with crawfish.

I owned a half dozen full encyclopedias. I gave them away.
Now with the state of Internet resources being full of politically motivated false information and myths pawned as history, I wish I had kept those encyclopedias.

I find that I experience culture and community in 'meat space.' Online is mostly for entertainment or escape. I get away from the meat space goblins to fight with the virtual trolls and gremlins. YMMV.
In meat space you can verify that the person is real and not a sock puppet. Usually.

The only 'ethical' use of AI is zero use of AI. This mind poison should never be allowed near judicial data.
I don't use AI. I avoid it like a disease. I despise it because I know what it is, mind poison.
I have seen people post AI generated analyses of stuff that was just bonkers, wicked, and clearly laced with biased propaganda. No thanks.

99.9 % of people don't have the remaining mental bandwidth to deal with these kind of things. Their energy is already expended just trying to survive. There is no compute time left for technical stuff about privacy and surveillance.
We need systems that take out all the friction. There is no other way to get mass onboarding.

I haven't tried Pelican. Good to know.
Long ago I wrote a site generator that iterates a directory of text and markdown files and converts them to a themed HTML website with links to the binary files with hash digests for all the files so users can verify integrity.
Maybe I should dig it up and add digital signatures to the engine then share it. Would anyone use this sort of thing?

You could do the weblord thing and get a $20/yr cheap VPS then try:
Forgejo: https://forgejo.org ...
"Forgejo is a Free Software platform for collaboration and productivity in software development. It offers a familiar environment to GitHub users, easy installation and maintenance, and a focus on security, scaling, federation and privacy."
... or cgit, which is very fast and slick for the barebones portal ...
... codeberg has a nice setup (via forgejo) if you don't want to self-host.

The Old Testament is prophecy about the eventual destruction of Christian imperialism. Jehovah is going to wipe the Christian religion off the face of the earth, along with all its cults and splinter sects.
The Old Testament is not a history book. It is a PROPHECY book. Elements of ancient history were poetically joined to tell the FUTURE, not to educate us about the past.
Isaiah 46:10 Jehovah says this plainly.

"never suggest the death penalty for sexual assault, rape, kidnapping, or child molestation. as soon as that's the penalty, then there's no barrier for the perpetrator not to murder the victim."
I didn't mention the perpetrator. I said everyone involved in her arrest and incarceration should get the gallows.
My comment referenced the post-attack enablers rather than the perpetrator.
So why are you pleading a faulty argument of mercy for the perpetrators of sexual assault?

Your rulers understand the following principle which they use to make men their useful idiots:
"When you fight something, you’re tied to it forever. As long as you’re fighting it, you are giving it power. You give it as much power as you are using to fight it."

Pass a commercial interstate tax on all advertising revenue. If a corporation pays another party for data or publicity, or sells such data or service, tax that transaction. Problem solved. It does not violate the first amendment if applied to all corporations operating in interstate commerce.

California Just Killed Open Source
[3D Printer Laws aren't about guns]

California AB 2047: The End of Open Source 3D Printing
California just introduced a bill that doesn't just regulate "ghost guns", it mandates a digital kill switch for every 3D printer sold. California AB 2047 requires "blocking technology" that connects your printer to a government-approved database before every single print. If the system goes down, or your file is flagged, your hardware becomes a paperweight.
This isn't just about firearms. This is the death of Open Source. If this bill passes, it effectively bans Marlin, Klipper, and Orca Slicer, forcing every manufacturer to lock down their firmware. It turns general-purpose computing into a walled garden where you only rent permission to use the hardware you own.

SILENCE IS DEAFENING
California's computer age verification law is poison. The new California age verification law is a version of INGSOC's telescreen watching you. And the usual self-proclaimed software freedom fighters are AWOL as this attack on your freedom is executed.
Don't listen to apologists who claim this isn't a big deal. It is a huge deal. This law is not about protecting children. The California law is a ruse for laying the foundation and precedent for mandatory remote control of all operating systems. They are using children as a shield for their true intentions. It's called a 'subterfuge' or a 'pretext' to hide the real rationale. And in politics subterfuge is very common. These politicians don't care about your children. They care about control and information is control. Compliance with California's new law is highly corrosive to free software and deadly to personal privacy.
With the mandatory age verification API in place, legislators can later add more laws mandating retrieval of even more privacy-invasive information just to install and use any operating system. This is Big Brother's telescreen in your living room. And the Linux community is nearly silent on the matter, instead focused on artificial intelligence investment.
Where were the software freedom organizations when California was mandating installation of #spyware in all free and open source operating systems? Did they oppose it? Or did they support it by silence? The California age verification law is the greatest threat to software freedom in recent history., striking right at the root of software installation for all users. Yet (((crickets))).
Is silence really tacit support?
Where were they when this mandatory spyware infrastructure was being shoved down our throats? Where were the self-proclaimed software freedom fighters? Where were the calls to action? I didn't see any.
Is silence golden ... or is gold buying silence?
Let these organizations know that you oppose California's age verification spyware law and that you expect them to rally in defense of true software freedom--freedom from government oversight of your software systems. Parents--and not the spyware state--should protect their children. The government is neither your parent nor your god nor your savior and the people should send a clear message stating that.
California, stay out of my operating system! And stay the hell away from children!

They've been doing it since day one. I've been a victim of their Stalinesque censorship in the distant past. They wouldn't even provide me a reason for the banning. They said we don't have anything in our notes here as to why, but you are banned and that's that.
They employ gaslightery for peer-pressured thought control through social tension modeling.
Lemmy.ml is another platform marred by this kind of devilish megalomania in its munted mods.
