Here in Brazil voting is not considered as a right, but as duty to democracy, not voting is penalized with a fine. USians allowing themselves to not vote is completely baffling.

The only "good" thing about extremists is the inevitable autophagy.
After more than 3 months unemployed, finally this week an opportunity appeared with high probability of me getting it, the manager I talked to said that I was among the best 4 candidates for the 2 openings they have.
Now I have to wait until Monday to know if I got it, and the suspense is killing me... 🫠

I suspect the CPU sensor reporting 6281°C might not be correct.
"Eco" comes from the Greek "oikos", meaning "home".
Wondering if (or how much of) the breakdown of people's relationship with the(ir) environment(s) is consequence of societal structures inhibiting the perception of such as "home".
Why care, if everything belongs to someone else?
I think the antidepressant is having a side-effect of giving me more vivid dreams.
Started taking antidepressants a couple of weeks ago, I still don't feel any difference, but a few people have commented I look a bit more lively.

As a Christian, I think my answer should be "Heaven".
Otherwise I think Brazil should be broken up into a hundred countries and I to be a citizen of the region I was born in.

Even the Old Testament didn't work like that.
Old Testament law is that foreigners must be treated the same and with same rights as citizens; and it also forbid running national census to make it impossible for the king to build a large military.

It did not offend me, I'm well aware these people love to take parts of the Old Testament and use it to hurt people. (And I used to be one of them)
