Replying to
@geerlingguy@mastodon.social I wouldn't hate it if Apple started making them again with M series processors, but loaded up with GPU cores and unified memory.

Replying to
@profoundlynerdy@bitbang.social the way the question was asked, I’m not sure if an accurate answer will satisfy; do you headbucket all AI generated code as “vibe coded”?

@gumnos for severance, the board is pushing U2’s entire back catalog to all of his Apple devices whether he wants it or not.

@py2toz@mastodon.radio “gateway” is a good operative word, but probably for other reasons. #reticulum is too complicated. Much of the appeal of these #LoRa meshes is in their simplicity. Their limitations are ok because pretty much anyone can use them.

@zrail #GitHub architecture is IMO fragile. It's always been fragile. I used to have an on-prem instance of it in an enterprise organization and, way before AI agents, it was heavily bottlenecked just by having a few thousand engineers just trying to get their work done. Back then, #GitLab was a much more scalable alternative that didn't get enough love. But I'm glad now that #Forgejo is increasingly showing up as a viable alternative.

The Tarheel Backhaul repeater is the one that put #ChapelHill on the #MeshCore map. Here's the #RDUMesh article with the backstory about how #MutualAid made it happen.

We've all heard about how pine trees allegedly have it out for #Meshtastic & #MeshCore. Like many urban legends, this #hamradio folk knowledge is a little bit myth and a little bit real.

When the #AI bubble pops, it’s going to be interesting to figure out how to run those cheap data center GPU’s in the #homelab for #selfhosting.

@openhomefoundation@fosstodon.org it might be interesting for the next newsletter to visit the rise of personal AI agents (like OpenClaw, Hermes Agent, etc) and explore their place in integrating with the Open Home (and its occupants & guests)

@Ganneff@fulda.social @ehashman@cloudisland.nz only the question. But you'll have to wait a few billion more years if you want to know what the question was that IPv42 answers.
