I take a walk ever day and this recently appeared on my usual route. It’s the city of Chicago flag but with the colors changed. This (plus all the rainbow flags too) is just so heartening, y’know?

Last night our Door Dash driver (old man) was really cagey about handing me our food. I had the app open on my phone and said "That's my order, see?". "You don't look like a '[wife's name]' ," he said. I paused briefly and decided not to spend any time schooling him. "That's my wife's name." And then he said that made sense and went hard on telling me I don't look like a woman and then "sir"d me.
Usually I take being misgendered in stride and just correct people (because usually it's just ignorance), but something about the interaction really got under my skin. I guess it was a microcosm of what's happening in the world: old cis man judging other people's gender (and gatekeeping my food!).
Still doing the big closet clean-out. I went to Dragon*Con in Atlanta for 5 years straight. It was where I first met up with my guildies in meatspace. It was a really fun con, and very big on costumes--they even had an incredible costume parade where everyone was grouped by type: Star Wars, Star Trek, BSG, GI Joe, Dr Who, Alien, Superheroes, Mad Max, Steampunk, and on and on. As you can imagine, I had so much envy for all the amazing female costumes. (And not just the costumes, obviously)

@xorlou@lgbtqia.space definitely order a sleep study! In my wife’s sleep study she stopped breathing 57 times in one hour. She’s got a little CPAP now and feels fantastic— life-changing.

@sashag@anarres.family this is exactly how I feel now (especially compared to when I had all that T). It’s a far better set of criteria. It’s wonderful.
New Boards of Canada on May 29th!

@quephird@tech.lgbt oh yeah she’s my favorite as well!
@quephird@tech.lgbt yum!
@quephird@tech.lgbt I feel your pain! I caught my wife’s cold after she came back from a conference. It really knocked me on my butt. It’s in my chest now so I’m coughing up a storm, but I’m at least sleeping through the night now. Hope you feel better soon!
@quephird@tech.lgbt 🥰 welcome back! 🫂

@miona@toot.lgbt lovely! My wife is out of town next week so think I’m going to do a self photoshoot.
What kind of set up do you have? Camera? Any lights? Your photos look great!
