Kein Drängeln in Baustellen, wenn man sich an die Geschwindigkeit hält
Keiner, der mit sehr hoher Geschwindigkeit vorbeizieht
Kein Stau in Baustellen

Viel entspannter angekommen, fast so wie im Urlaub, wenn man aus Deutschland endlich raus und in einem Land mit Tempolimit unterwegs ist.

Von daher: wenn irgendwann irgendwie die Treibstoffpreise sinken, bitte mit Tempolimit flankieren.

@jzb@hachyderm.io several months ago I read an article on teaching how to play musical instruments with positive feedback only: apparently highlighting what works great reinforces that very skill. Even if it's just several seconds of a decent vibrato, highlighting that helps the learner repeat and extend the well working movements on later exercises. I've found that in open source communities that positive feedback also helps people understand which types of contributions are needed.

@ennolenze danke für die Perspektive, auch für deine Erfahrungen in Krisenländern. Den Wunsch nach eindeutiger Kennzeichnung kann ich so unterschreiben. Schönste Anekdote von Bekannten: an der Tür steht, Kreditkarte geht. Kein Bargeld dabei weil kurz vorm Heimflug am nächsten Morgen. Gerät kaputt. Die Suche nach einem funktionierenden Geldautomaten in einem der Nachbardörfer zusammen mit dem Gastwirt war wohl interessant :)

@jonathanhogg@mastodon.social thank you for this thread! In the last years while the AI hype unfolded, I was lucky to get a closer view of Scratch, Snap and MIT App Inventor. The ease of use, the speed of development and the abstraction of complex concepts into easy to use building blocks of the latter three were amazing. Ever since AI came up my brain couldn't stop thinking that if so much code gets generated then we've been working at the wrong abstraction level all the time.

@cwebber@social.coop I guess those who saw the potential decades ago aren't the same people turning everything towards enshittification: In addition to scaling by several orders of magnitude - way beyond what works with trusting people behave themselves - combined with growing means to make a business, combined with growing means to influence public opinion and with that elections has put too much strain on systems built for that early vision.
