The 13 year old is all packed and ready to go to his first LAN party with his mates. The kitchen table is currently covered in computer bits, ready to be packed in the car.

Makes me remember of all the #NeverwinterNights LAN parties I went to in the early 2000s. So much fun.

I love that he can experience this gamers right of passage. I mean gaming online is great and all, but there is something to be said for the joy that comes from all sitting in the same computer filled room, eating chips and playing together.

My #DnD players found a fancy mirror in our game that is actually a communication device for a nefarious cult.

They have had it in a bag of holding for a while but have now taken it out and realised that it whoever is on the other side of the mirror might be able to hear them. They asked in a magic shop if there was a way to block sound to it, and I quickly made up "The Blanket of Silence".

I have no idea if this item is too powerful, too pointless, too silly etc, but it's canon in the world now, so that's that.

Visiting #Kerteminde #Danmark today and whilst the rest of the fam went to look at fishing gear, I stopped into www.gallerihavn.dk for a cheeky peruse.

Got about halfway and stopped at this piece and wanted it with all my heart and soul. I did not have the funds for it.

I believe the artist is Tine Lindvig. They had many other pieces there that were beyond amazing, including one that depicted a toddler and baby in a garden where the toddler was spraying the baby with a garden hose. As a parent to siblings, that one made me actual LOL.

Some of this artists work also reminded me of some Jeffery Smart images I saw at a surrealist exhibition at the Art Gallery of New South Wales in Australia back in the 90s.

But this woman with a crow.... fuck me. Thats some talent!

My danish teen and his danish mates are in the gaming room playing Cockroach Poker. For some reason, they have all also decided that this is the perfect time to practise their German. So they're currently yelling at each other in german about flies, toads, bats and spiders then breaking down in fits of giggles.

Its friggen hilarious to sit and listen to.

Husband and I always joke that when the news of the world is scary and depressing, we deal with it by creating yet another raised bed and growing more vegetables. And since the orange shit goblin and his ilk might be around for at least another few years then we've def got plans for a few more beds.

Yes I took this picture at 9 in the evening, cause thats when we finished it. And the metal re-bar is to keep the local cats off cause then its not so easy to use as a giant litterbox.

A Bugbear Vermin Lord Ranger who has the Magic Initiate feat at level 1 and uses it to cast Find Familiar.

Her favourite familiar is a Giant Fly, that (since she is medium sized and the fly is large sized) she can ride, thus giving her a fly speed of 60ft.

Now, since the giant fly has no other actions but it acts on it's own initiative in combat, it can technically only dash, giving it a 120ft fly speed for each of it's turns.

So, she would fly around the battle field, firing arrows from the air whilst comanding swarms of Rats to attack her enemies.

Personality wise, she'll be giving real Trash Heap from Fraggle Rock vibes, where she likes to dole out her ranger wisdom, sometimes as little songs she dances to, all whilst being a trash-hoarding, outcast surrounded by her little ratty friends.

I love her already.

Had an awful nightmare that woke me up at 0430. Wasn't getting back to sleep after that so came down and made the daily lunches, had a cup of coffee and checked on the seedlings.

The whole fam is due wake up in 5min and now Im back to feeling like I could sleep again. But I know if I have a nap, I'll be grumpy for the rest of the day.

Ugh. Stupid nightmare. Ruining my whole damn morning.
