I'm so, so sorry to the Greeks but I absolutely cannot call spanakopita anything but spanktopia. I'm so sorry. It's a requirement. It's RIGHT THERE.

Two companies are interviewing me and I'm moving to second interviews for one and almost certainly doing so for the other.
The tattoo artist I want for my next tattoo (the FF8 one I've been wanting for ~22 years) replied to my inquiry email and said it sounds "dope" and they're interested.
Two weeks on T and I've already had small changes that spark so much gender euphoria, cementing that this was the right choice for me.

@ the multiple people who were concerned that I didn't say what country or region this was referring to: yikes, people don't have to pay a literal tax for being disabled y'all :Yikes: :oof:

@moriel@chaosfem.tw I'll be posting the answer in a reply when the poll is over - I don't want to skew the results by having the answer in comments. Meanwhile if you'd like to search it you can probably find the answer more easily by searching for "paying the disability tax" instead.
Yesterday I went to an estate sale and was fortunate enough to encounter some SPICY GLASS. This was my first time actually seeing uranium glass (or having my geiger counter pop off at something) so I was very excited. Background here was about .08 microsievert. Spicy glass!!!!! I was tempted, but did not bring it home.

@dramypsyd@ohai.social "Able-bodied" is just used as the opposite of disabled here, not to exclude mental disabilities. I have several of those myself!
ETA: I've updated the poll wording for clarity.

A fun* thing spouse and I do occasionally is "what would we do if we won the lottery?" We talk through all the things we would do and buy if we had stupid money.
What's yours? What would you do if you suddenly had, say, a few hundred million dollars?

Reasons to hire me:
I'm very good at supply chain and logistics
I've studied interpersonal communication so I can work with a wide variety of communication styles
I speak three languages
I will singlehandedly fill your diversity quota (ask me about my disabilities! unless you're interviewing or hiring me, in which case don't, that's illegal)
Reasons to not hire me:
You want someone who won't question your processes
You're a Nazi
Your company doesn't allow remote work

@Angnor@kind.social well, it seems like you're spot on - mind you, $55-65k is a reasonable entry level or part time wage in my field, and pennies for a full time job at my level

@roknrol@beige.party not sure where you live, but a local gas station chain (in a lower cost of living area of the country) *starts* mid-level positions (which they classify as no degree and 5 years experience) at just under $70k. also it would be illegal (and more importantly, enforceably so) for an employer to not pay for anything over 35 hours.
