First they came for the pregnant women and I did not speak up because I'm not a woman, and the women in my life have already had the kids that they're going to have, so they weren't going to be affected. Then they came for the books and I did not speak up because books remind me of having to read in school and I *hated* that. Then they came for the trans folks and I didn't speak up because I don't know any trans people and the idea of trans is confusing to me. Then they came for the immigrants and even though I don't know of a single immigrant in the country, all of my friends are white and they were going to be unaffected as well. Then they came for the scientists and because scientists warn me that bad things will happen if I don't change my ways, and I'm terrified of change, I thought those smarmy scientists should be put "in their place". Then they came for AntiFa and I did not speak up because anyone that opposes "Fa" (whatever that is) must be a terrorist, as they claimed. Feel free to keep it going. The fascists certainly will.

Seems like being a CEO is just a very expensive and destructive form of "hot potato" where as long as you can make your billions and get out before legal action occurs, you're safe. #AI My personal experience suggests that there are really only two types of normies that like AI. 1) People who are confident that their job won't be taken. Tradespersons. People that work and function in the physical world. These people are not scared of the future of AI. 2) People that don't *make* stuff. Not artists. Not musicians. Not craftspersons. Not educated. These people are not afraid that their work will be stolen. They want music and art, but do not understand or care about the human cost behind producing it, and they don't understand why it should matter. Yes, there are also techbros and capitalists for a third type, but you'll never convince *them* that it's a bad idea. The people that need convincing are the first two groups.

IF that's the case (again, I have no idea) it makes us look foolish. We really don't need that kind of help.

There's a guy here locally that keeps bringing up how high-strung I am and how I just need to relax. I've tried explaining generalized anxiety disorder and chronic depression to him, to which he replies, "just let it go, mate, ain't nothing you can do about the world. Just let it go." I asked him last night, "Have you tried just being taller?" which confused him. (he's not very tall) I said, *that* is what I'm up against. I'm not sad or anxious for "reasons", I'm sad and anxious because that's how my brain is built. The response? "Just let it go, mate." He may be a lost cause.
