How is this what we're doing? Fighting over who can be the least compassionate to children in trouble?

Concrete demolition under way.
I'm not actually doing it, my job is to remove small bricks and be available in case someone needs to call and ambulance, lol. But still, exciting!
Has anyone already added "Pool for Cats"?
1.2 paths removed!
And the blueberries and artichoke were relocated.
No tree planted, it will wait.
#gardening kinda. Preparation!
Oh Farrer.
I'm having more feelings than I thought I would.
I don't even live there anymore, haven't for decades. But I still feel vaguely responsible. And reminded of why I left (fled, more like) and the pressing, stifling way the place felt as a young lefty. And reminded of friends being beaten for being gay, the time swastikas were spray painted all over our school, and girls blamed for assaults, and the absolute certainty among us teens that you could never trust the teachers, police or parents with anything real or even vaguely political (at a time when the existence of sexuality or assault or racism was political).
I hope the brown people, Aboriginal people, queers, feminists, unionists and lefties are OK tomorrow.
Today's big garden checklist:
- remove the concrete paths
- dig up the blueberries and pot in acidic mix
- plant the mandarin tree
- move the tall artichoke (it fell down for the second year in a row, it needs to be moved closer to the fence for support)
And three good things today
-
Started my day with Zumba, the fun and silly middle-aged ladies play session at my local leisure centre.
-
Finally did a puzzle I got for Christmas, and it was soothing and pretty.
-
Went for a walk in the sunshine to do some groceries. I'm grateful for the sunshine, and for living walking distance to the shops, and being able to afford my groceries.
We were told about this at uni today. They took pains to tell us they "only" had access to out names, emails, and messages between people. But don't worry, not our passwords or bank details.
I mean, yes, if they had access to passwords (which ought to be encrypted), or bank details (which ought to be handled separately by someone with better creds than the beleaguered uni IT team), that would be a monumental fuck up bigger than the one that actually happened. But also I* can change a fucking password. I can't change my uni address. And who knows what people have put into "messages".
- yes, I understand passwords matter because most people reuse them and don't change them. It's just a less big deal to me personally.

Finally decided on the first step for backyard food growing overhaul, so it will start soon.

Partner is feeling a lot better after bring very sick for a few days, and it seems I didn't catch it (knock on wood).
-
Watched Terminator 2 and it was good.
Honestly, 7am brain should really be able to tell 2am brain a thing or two.
Update: there is an evidence based web app to help you choose a safe sports bra: https://bra.edu.au/
Original:
Does anyone here have D cup + sports bra reccs?
My beloved Berleis no longer fit, and before I replace them with a size up, it'd be good to know if the options have changed.
I've stuck to that black and white Berlei jump-proof one for ages. The only time a celebrity endorsement has worked on me - Serena Williams knows what's up with strapping down.
Three good things today
-
Can afford to see a podiatrist, and got to, at short notice, and he was nice.

The upside of being less mobile was that I have had a lot of time to watch doctor who.

Three good things today:

Niece cuddles and nephew wrestles (more an age thing than a gender thing, it is frowned upon to wrestle newborns).
-
I am one in my own bed tonight.

Managed to impress a 9yo just by being older than her mum, and being able to explain 4yo behaviour.
Three good things today.
-
One friend had his last chemo treatment today.
-
Another friend won a Victorian Civil Justice Award for giving 6+ years of his life and effort to fighting for police accountability for illegal use of force (pepper spray). I'll put links to read in a reply.
-
I booked my trip to meet my baby niece (she gets born next week).

Photos of nearly-4yo nephew holding his new sister, looking ecstatic. Pretty cute.
