Book nook is all finished and on the shelf.

Big old lefty. Non-Binary, AuDHD, general purpose nerd. Two of those I only figured out when I hit my forties.
Currently in the south of England with my partner @DJDarren@mendeddrum.org and our two cats Molly and Milo.
I’ve got a few chronic conditions which make me grumpy at times.
To be clear -

Trans men are men

Toots to be read in Matt Berry’s voice.
If the tech bros are going to continue denying that consent exists, I’m going to need them to stop forcing me to be polite when refusing their AI or other bullshit.
I don’t want to click “maybe later” but I also don’t want to click “no thanks”.
If you’re just going to ask again in X amount of time regardless, I want an option that says “fuck off”.
A void, folded.
Popped into the Artemis live feed.
Well, isn’t that something?
On our way to Longleat safari park for a little anniversary getaway.
Just gone past this big bunch of rocks.
Good morning. Go drink some water. You’ll be ok. Love you ❤️
Can I reach any other afab non-binary folks who’ve gone through / are going through menopause?
I have an appointment with my GP this week to talk about HRT and other options to help with some symptoms I’m having.
Obviously I’d like the symptoms to stop / lessen but I admit I’m feeling kind of uncomfortable with the idea of my body changing or behaving “more feminine” if that makes sense.
I’ve had a mirena coil for years and my periods have been nonexistent and I *love* this. I do not want to suddenly be having periods now.
As I understand, renewing my mirena coil could be part of the solution but am I likely to get more breakthrough bleeding taking HRT on top?
I’ve also mostly managed to avoid talking about any kind of gendered things with the doctors for a long time so I’m a bit antsy how I’m going to deal with that too. My surgery does not seem like a very lgbtq-friendly space.
Advice welcome but mostly I’m reaching out hoping I’m not alone in this kind of thing. I only came out as NB a few years ago so this is all new.
Spent nearly 6 hours today playing a game where you organise and shelf books in a library.
Highly recommend.
And it’s <£5 right now.

I’d like to create a border in our garden but every time I’ve tried everything gets demolished by slugs immediately. Egg shells and copper tape were inadequate, beer traps were messy and I kept forgetting them.
Looking for recommendations on how to keep the buggers away please!
We do have cats that roam in the garden so toxins also aren’t ideal. In the UK if that makes any difference.
Do I know anyone who is knowledgeable about the Equality Act in England who wouldn’t mind me picking their brains?
Specifically the access to goods and services side of things.
These are the “benefits” of the enforced premium service by the way.
- There is no choice of stateroom because in all likelihood there’s at best 1-2 other accessible cabins available at that price
- We don’t care when or where we have dinner
- I guess in theory they could upgrade us to one of the nicer accessible cabins with a window or a balcony but this seems pretty unlikely
- We’d be much less likely to be able to change the booking to another cabin at the price point given how few there are
- Again, can’t really choose the cabin. I think all but 4 are on the one deck anyway.
- Admittedly a benefit but the cruise is in less than 2 months so we’d be paying the full balance in a month anyway.
- This one is ridiculous. I’m not even going to comment.
There’s is one other choice between onboard credit (that would get you about 4 boozy beverages) or car parking. We live right next to the port so we don’t need the latter. @DJDarren
