Ooh, look! I made a thing!
A #parametric #yarn #bobbin that can be printed to match common cardboard ones, or instead with an end that snaps onto my planetary gear winder.

Ooh, look! I made a thing!
A bracing #adapter to allow my planetary gear #embroideryFloss winder (a bit over engineered) to be used with larger #spools/#bobbins to roll up things like #yarn, twine, and paracord.

A handy little clamp/vice tool thing to help get #PTFE tubing out of couplers.

Ooh, look! I updated a thing!
* rounded edges so as to be easier on the hands
* added "wide" variants that allow for minis that extend more, like those with wings.
* added a pre-exported set of "small" models. Among other things the smaller sizes should make for quicker printing and testing.

@cwebber@social.coop has it even been a year since that top Cloudflare engineer created a security library and announced it with much "trust me bro, I know how to AI" fanfare, only to have it raked over the coals for having security holes you could drive a truck through and having to warn it was not for production use?

@cas@social.treehouse.systems well, I just have to think back to US authorities arresting a Russian programmer for things they did while in Russia, that were legal in Russia, and were a technically trivial end-around a simplistic DRM.
Once the law is on the books, it is a tool against any "circumvention", especially at the behest of large companies.

@steckschwein_6502@mastodon.social @Lydie@tech.lgbt @computer@facts.computer wait, any mention of 1993 and Doom must have it followed by Myst. The worst graphics in a video game and the best, both hits in the same year. (Yes, Doom had some of the worst graphics, but the best *gameplay*).

@computer@facts.computer yes, wouldn't that have been when Angelina Jolie and friends (including Shaggy) faced off against Penn Jillette and his boss?

@gabu@chitter.xyz I saw that they posted CAD files for it, so we could let godzilla know we can design and 3d print them a mechanically upscaling enlarged case
