“Then AI raised the stakes. Users began expecting something fundamentally different from software: not just tools that store and retrieve, but products that reason, generate, and respond. Meeting that expectation means making LLM calls, and LLM calls cost money.”[1]
User don’t expect this at all. Users don’t want this. If it’s impacting your unit economics that’s an unforced own-goal

@sellathechemist@mastodon.social Best I can do is a pseudorandom act, and that *requires* entropy

@heavyimage@mastodon.social @overholt@glammr.us I tried base64 decoding it, then running it through various likely structured data format candidates, like protobuf, etc. No joy.
The entropy is less than what you’d expect for something that’s encrypted or compressed, but more than for text.
Since I extracted the base64 from the image, it’s possible there’s a transcription error, but, while I could be arsed to do all the above, I wasn’t about to check every char or instance of I,l,1,O,0, etc.

A love letter to Stevie Ray Vaughan regarding his love letter to Jimi Hendrix. Almost note for note (and captures the tone!) until around 4:20, when he makes it his own

@overholt@glammr.us “The initial scribe of a text often left notes for the rubricator of where rubrication would be necessary, usually including at least one blank line for the title alone, facts that help modern historians to establish the provenance of the manuscript.”
Rubrication can serve as scholarly lubrication
