Gah I'm so excited! I was able to scrape together the money for a cheap and used 3 channel signal generator!
That means that I can study the effects of nested tri-coils on MR fluid.
I've always wanted to do research that's never been done before, something totally new. As far as I can tell, I'll be the very first to test this!
Granted I'm a simple citizen scientist without a uni, so I've no idea how i'd share my results, but I still can't help but be excited :)

my next experiment/project is to add ferromagnetic particals to a non newtonian fliud, then appy oscillating electromagnetic waves to induce stress.
I'd like to create a system that lets you dynamically controll viscosity. It'd be so cool to go from totall liquid to nearly solid regidity and to controll that.
My intent is to use it for haptics but maybe there could be industrial applications as well?
