I spend far too much time thinking about power relationships in the abstract, overthinking the forest and missing the trees completely.
I really struggle to connect with people, I don't know why.
Chronic depression and mild autism probably don't help.
Avatar is me, with goggles and bandana, hanging upside down in a park.

Get over it, it's up to the EU, it's how it works

You know how democracy works right?
People are expected to be able to criticize their government, whether it's the national or the supra national one.
We're creating a (more) authoritarian state because some parents need to shelter their kids from the world (I hope you don't let them watch the news).
Your kids want to watch rape porn? You tell them it's really bad stuff, you ask them if they're sure and then you offer them to watch it with them or to discuss it later with them, you fucking coward.
I have the utmost respect for these Israeli.
They're doing what's right when everybody else around them is very, very wrong.
Seriously, these protesters are giving me hope for humanity when I have very little.
A newcomer joined my dance classes.
Multiple people told me that he's just a bit creepy.
He didn't do anything terrible, mostly staring and being a bit too close.
But he also tried to flirt with a student of mine in a way that made her uncomfortable.
As the teacher, this is my problem, but I have zero experience dealing with it.
The obvious option is to tell him he's not welcome in the classes without giving him any specific reason.
But this only makes him someone else's problem.
The other option is to try and explain to him what he did wrong, since he obviously isn't getting whatever it is he's after.
But even if I tell him as little as possible, this could expose the students that complained about him.
Any suggestion?
Boosts appreciated.
There's too many people, here in Europe, who are fine with genocide.
These people are over-represented in positions of power.
There's too many people, here in Europe, who are NOT fine with genocide, but "what you gonna do?"
We have given up even the pretense that we control our governments, that they represent us and... Most people are largely fine with it?
Not sure what to make of this article, but it kind of checks?

I'm interested in learning either Haskell or Rust.
Which one of these two is more likely to lead to some semblance of job security in the coming apocalypse?
