Too old to rock and roll, too young to die. Vegan and anarchism curious.
Likes permaculture, infosec, Tranmere Rovers, and whatever my current enthusiasm is.

Some good news from Heathrow, the lady who passed out on the luggage carousel is slowly coming round.

Gah. Second sleepless night in three days.
Still, it's my brain going 100 miles an hour on a project rather than random mad ideas 😇

I bought all my kit in 2017 before prices went crazy during lockdown (and when you could still buy stuff on eBay cheaply from the UK to France).

It seems to be an emotional support process for people with no imagination.
Present company excepted, naturellement.

@statsguy@mas.to It's political posturing as a reliable ally after Trump cancelled the bombing of the Houthis yesterday.
They've already got about 15 refuelling tankers and seven AWACS. The Saudis really don't need this militarily.

There are some genuinely useful and efficient such processes, but I don't think that's one.

I guess turning plastic into other, less shit, molecules is a laudable goal in itself though.

I'm plumping for the latter, because the chances of them *all* choosing the same company with no background in cybersecurity to lock down their tests is pretty slim unless there was some specific reason for it.

@Thayer@mastodon.social No, just a breakthrough on a project at about 10pm that then got investigated for another nine hours.
It's well outside my domains of vague competence so it took me a while to figure out that I had been barking up the wrong tree.

@MiaMarkTwo@syzito.xyz I recently learned that king Chuck can trace his lineage back to Rollo.
And that aristocrats own 3-4 times more land in England than the rest of us plebs put together.
So it's a bit of a "get the guillotine oiled" from me.

I'm not sure 100% recycling is currently possible. It should obviously be a goal, but we need to massively reduce its use.

I asked something similar a while back.
As a tenured professor she's already paid, but I'm not sure that precludes palm-greasage for interviews!

Research in dolphins, elephants, parrots and primates suggests animals may call each other by name, *but scientists are divided on how to define the behavior*.

Ah, that's because I can't quote it in a reply so it's using the infosec.exchange instance. And as far as they're concerned, you're not logged in.

@davidnjoku@mastodon.world Slight tangent, but I'm native British and don't feel the need to apologise for Amritsar.
We're still ruled by an aristocracy going back to the Norman conquest. These people own 3-4 times more land than the rest of us combined and treated the poor as a template for how they would treat empire (IMO).
I have absolutely nothing in common with these people.

I'd left the Zoë sitting there for ages and ended up with two wasps' nests at the hinge of the hatch at the back. I only noticed when using a pressure washer after fixing 12V issues.
Since then they've been fine and we cohabit in a perfectly neighbourly manner. One time I took the Zoë down the mountain and was charging her up with the windows open. One of the wasps came inside. I finished charging, closed the windows, and had a small passenger all the way back home.

I'm not sure it would need much in the way of setup either. Just cut the mounting bracket so it's not at 90°, put the VRX roughly where the current head is (horizontally) and have the whole thing set up at about 1° above horizontal on some sort of lazy Susan setup that could be clamped to stop it moving in the wind.

You mean tracking the drone? That's going to be manual based on waypoints and best effort initially.

@davidnjoku@mastodon.world I was a few months old for the World Cup win. Still hoping to celebrate one before I'm back wearing a nappy 😁
But that's a kind of nostalgia now, I live in France and have a different, less parochial, perspective. So I guess I don't celebrate the good things really*
- Supporting Tranmere Rovers may also have something to do with this.
