"Brick territories" experiment. Try it here : https://bleuje.com/js_sketches/brick-territories/ A gif from Jagarikin in 2021 was already showing a similar experiment with 2 balls.

Quite big news: here's a web version of the "interactive physarum" project I've mentioned a lot. https://bleuje.com/web-interactive-physarum/ No installation required, everyone can play with it now!

Here is Variograph in the browser, also with some UI improvements. (it's a generative art realtime project combining functions used in fractal flames)
I find the mouse drag quite fun (that's new)
https://bleuje.com/web-variograph/
edit/warning: could be laggy or crash if not running on a good enough GPU

Physarum update: filling a gallery page, a place to showcase results that are now obtained by live-coding during the simulation:
https://bleuje.com/physarum-gallery/
Here are some samples:

Here are my main loops of 2025:
https://bleuje.com/animationsite/2025_1/

I think 2023 and 2024 were better but it's okay and I feel happy with these 4 in particular.

@CppGuy@infosec.space those that touch the border have an advantage: they receive less attacks. I might add a torus world setting.

It uses a random Hamiltonian cycle over the vertices of an "icosphere" (the curve touches the hole of each vertex once and loops). Not a fan of the randomness but I can't simply use a space filling curve there. I hope I'm not wasting the idea with weird design/features choices.

Sometimes to get modulo 1 and handle negative modulo I've been doing something like float p = (p+1234)%1; I thought it was a quick and fun way to do it in the context of creative coding. It turns out that this can be really bad for precision. So for that animation I was using double instead of float to get smooth movement but now I'm back to float with p = ((p%1)+1)%1;

@RefurioAnachro@mathstodon.xyz oh wow, I know her but wasn't aware of that yet. I would like to see that, currently checking out the live stream on twitch but don't manage to go back in time.

Replying to
@TheRealPomax@mastodon.social the fix is deployed. I was finding the lack of cursor a bit annoying too myself. I might add a feature to be able to hide it again if that's what the user prefers.

@electrocutie@plush.city I just meant that I've been doing this alternating arcs curve before, but it was using the Gosper curve (hexagonal version of Hilbert curve) that can't be used here to cover the sphere nicely
