If your butt is your money maker, then your butt crack is your fiscal cleft.
I filed my taxes on linux for the first time.
Thanks to @adamsdesk@fosstodon.org for the blog post about My Tax Express.

I wonder if myTaxExpress is the only Canadian tax software that has a linux version.
People who love #AltText should check out NASA's alt text game. (It changes depending on what is going on in the app)

Bike shares (micromobility) should be part of the city's public transit system, rather than several disparate private services.
About Here video:
I talked to a stranger about rent prices. He lamented how expensive the new high rise was, but said it is ultimately better, because once people move in to that, the places they leave will be vacant and assumed rented out at lower rate.
Landlords can only increase rent at around 2% per year unless their place goes vacant. And I hear so many stories where a landlord is actively trying to get tenants out so they can re-rent at a higher rate. I have all of this anecdotal evidence that the opposite of this person's assumption is true.
I don't get it. I don't see what incentive a landlord, corporate or otherwise, has to lower the prices just because some tenants move out. Where I live, it's basically a cartel. The corporate landlords can just say "we've decided that the market rate is this," and everyone will have to base their landlording budgets around that.
Also, like, this can't be a supply-demand equation because the demand in question (most agree a home is a basic necessity, right?), is always equal to the amount of people. Could you imagine "*gasp*, your prices are too high, I will simply choose not to survive, good day sir!"?
I don't have any energy to do anything today. And it sucks 'cause there's plenty I could be doing.
Does anybody happen to know if #ArtemisII will be any farther from or closer to Earth than Collins or others who orbited the Moon? I'm curious who has the record for being farthest from the Earth, tho' I'm sure they'll all approximately similar distances.
@elena@aseachange.com Do you have, or know of, a great resource introducing newbies to #RSS?
I find that one of my websites just says "subscribe to RSS" which links to a bunch of XML gobbledy gook that means nothing to most people. Instead I would love it to link to info about how to subribe with an RSS feed reader. Only RSS feed readers need to see the XML gobbledy gook anyways.
Thanks!
If you'll excuse me I have some toots to like.
Do they not make any dishwasher where the cutlery is on the door anymore? I thought that was way more space efficient than having them take up space on one of the racks.
Sure, it's a good Friday, but it could be better.
When I read "GenAI" I pronounce it "Jennifer AI"
BC Ferries are adopting "modern platforms powered by advanced analytics and artificial intelligence".
Does that mean their are going to be making business and logistical decisions using a subscription to a slop machine? Or do they actually mean they are using machine learning techniques to do the analysis?
I read about it on this job posting:
