I'm not worried about the so called "paperclip maximiser" apocalypse.
I do think the "GPU data centre maximisers"* should be stopped.

More William Walton king stuff.
Belshazzar's Feast. Spoiler - it doesn't turn out well for the king.
You can go to the Katherine Mansfield reading room the National Library of NZ and listen to a digital surrogate of a C90 cassette recording:

If this isn't convenient, there's always

Reading the first HP book, we're clearly meant to be on the side of the "freaks" (people with special abilities) and "mudbloods" (people who end up different from what they were assigned at birth) and the "animagi" (can literally change their form)
Now JKR is on the side of Aunt Petunia & Draco Malfoy

I hate this suggestion. Seriously, keep using your library, whoever you are.
Since adding a couple of simple information requests to the "Why do you want to join this instance" signup question, and stating that applications that fail to include them will be rejected, I have rejected 100% of new signups in record time.
Looks like most of them are lifting the bio info from other existing fediverse accounts.

I guess the district heating infrastructure was already there in Pornainen, powered by burning something.
I don't know how widespread this is in Finland?
e.g. I visited a friend in Oulu (pop. 200k) and was impressed by the district heat there, including keeping cycle paths free of snow. Powered by peat burning at the time, I think that is changing now. Info here https://www.oulunenergia.fi/en/heat-and-energy/district-heat/

@jordgubben@mastodon.gamedev.place @ketan@climatejustice.social yeah, reporting of capacity in GW as if the power consumption is a good thing, as opposed to what they can produce, which obviously should be measured in litres of slop per second
Not quite the feast I was hoping for

(couldn't find this audio anywhere on the web)
"... when Merita, she sits down at the keys, she weaves a spell of wonder, she sings a verse of Autumn Leaves, Japanese just love that number ..."

Your problem is that you haven't tried the cocaine. You have to try it yourself before you're allowed to criticise it.

This should be an interesting talk!
Problem: bike rack prevents rear door opening
Solution: graft a hinge into the stem of the rack.
A sliding sleeve keeps the hinge straight in transit
