claiming that Linus Techtips running Pop!OS gives Linux a bad name is absolute gigantic 🍮

@warning@mastodon.cloud cute stunt. but polluting the Misskey hashtag is uncalled for. this has nothing to do with misskey and people on Mastodon.cloud are not misskey enthusiasts. please don't do this again.

@Lorker@sharkey.daddelwerk.net Warp gibt es auch, wenn man was wirklich verrücktes will. Hat popups für autocomplete zum Beispiel. Und massig KI-Features, sofern man drauf steht.

@lekiam@blahaj.zone depends on what you exactly are trying to say you want to do and where. First: I don't know about hosts like github/lab/tea's support for handling upstream branches. If it's just about on your dev machine, you can have two remotes - in your case your fork's origin and sharkey's upstream and you can check out branches of the same name from different remotes, as long as they're named differently on your local repo. So you could do something like: git switch -c sharkey-main --track upstream/main to have the Sharkey main as a different branch locally.

RE: https://mkultra.x27.one/notes/al650cxi15w70a0s

@tay@transfem.social the objectively correct way to do config is to do what .NET does (do json, environment variables and special command line args by default but also offer plugins for other file types like ini and xml themselves, and have people make nugets for stuff like yaml and kdl, and also let you concoct your own nonsense for config sources) all existing in parallel and you can spread settings between different sources, too!

@16af93@wetdry.world wo Bielefeld?

@ryse@mastodon.social what do you mean "why"? Most applications worth their salt that offer you an emoji picker will give you a section with often used and/or recently used emojis. And using a weighted score that keeps the emote you use a lot in front of the one you just used makes sense to have? I am honestly surprised that Misskey does not do that and just does naive "put the most recently used one first" :ai_pudding_taberu:

@panos@ibe.social what exactly is "media", and are you sure you can detect it properly? Plus: I like the ability to be able to upload e.g. emoji packs (zip files with images + json in them) in a folder where I can find them. Also some kinds of imports and exports in Misskey go through drive as of now.
