apparently it just "does that sometimes"

The representative said ShinyHunters said the group used a zero day exploit in an Oracle product called PeopleSoft. From there, the group managed to access AWS GovCloud servers and downloaded data. The representative said the exfiltrated data totalled between two and three terabytes.

@alyx@frogs.lgbt If your computing experience has become too simple and functional, Nix is the natural next step. I use it for that reason.
You'll learn about whole new classes of problems!

I feel like Nix could be an incredible distro for the average user if given a simple UI for management with nixpkgs

It coincides with getting some new solar panels, so it's not even too bad on the power bill

@asahi@plasmatrap.com depending on your local market, you can look into getting a used Pico 4 for Quest 3 like hardware and visuals at much reduced price. This would also be a significant bump from the Q2, with full wivrn support and giving you excellent pancake lenses

@asahi@plasmatrap.com absolutely not unless you can avoid it. quest 2 is available on secondary market for not much higher prices and is a different dimension visual quality and software wise. It is still a fresnel headset though, so there's a limit on how good it'll look.

discord, age verification
@solonovamax@tech.lgbt fwiw discord still works perfectly fine with a "teen" (unverified) account; it just blocks NSFW and safety filter access. There's no scenario where you'll be locked out

If you hardcode a token into both the server and CLI that gives you root access to EVERY DEPLOYMENT, I think you should simply be banned from computers
Not even an LLM would do this shit without being asked to

No, it's not different this time. Stop doing it.

@i@declin.eu yes, that would be the main UX problem to resolve.
it would probably not be solvable "generically", you'd need to maintain the UI data somewhat more or hide the deeper home-manager options as advanced

i know this is wholly infeasible with 256-bit memory interfaces running hundreds of traces at tens of gigabits a second, meaning it would probably require a fully different design
let me dream
