"Colloquially expressed, but essentially correct." -Spock.
Writer at my core, but also sometimes a strategist, consultant, advisor, coach, instructor, designer, journalist, and ne'er-do-well. Elder Millennial, (somewhat) recent dad. I've worked on lots of tough challenges with organizations you've heard of, many of them in the areas of nonprofit, government, health care, and social welfare.

So the Supreme Court has ratified one of America’s great lies, that fighting racism in elections is itself racist. Yet another day when the stakes get higher and the possibility of compromise slips away. We have to stop these fascists from returning this country to White minority rule. #uspol
Trump’s twisted use of diplomatic rhetoric is part of the sham of this war. The press is acting as if when the ceasefire expires the cruise missiles will automatically start flying again. In fact, it would be completely within the President’s power not to kill children, not to waste resources, not to deepen global chaos. Perhaps we would have to live with a toll on the strait, but that’s nothing compared to the price of the war itself. We live under Trump’s whims, not any kind of articulated policy, and we need to be more honest about that. #uspol #iran
I had heard Claude Code was getting better so I had it build me a little game where you guess whether an actor was ever on Star Trek. We ended up arguing over whether Kirsten Dunst played Young Guinan in “Rascals.”
@billyjoebowers@mastodon.online the essence of all Trump "policy." Everyone gets a kickback except the people who actually need it.
I liked this analysis of why Chicago Pope does not bow to Trump. It's not so much commentary as explanatory journalism with quotes from Milton. https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2026/apr/24/trump-pope-leo-catholics
