Since yesterday, all my hardware is Linux free (goodbye and thanks #manjaro) and happily running #FreeBSD. The last piece of the puzzle was my Tuxedo InfinityBook 14 and to be honest I expected more struggle. Tweak here, WiFi firmware there and everything is working.
So far so good ❤️ still many things to tweak 😉
This is quite stronger hardware than my usual ThinkPads and much more responsive compared to Linux. Happy and content 😊

Time for a quiet read on this cold Friday morning
Thanks @pitrh@mastodon.social for the updated edition
@nuintari@mastodon.bsd.cafe trackball and sliding keyboard, loved it. Still sits in my drawer for future experiments 😉

@argv_minus_one @RadicalSocialWorker just like that! And we spin them and spin them more - so that laser can do the proper burning!
When people tell me "your experience in this industry is older than me" - should I take it as a compliment, or...? 🤔

@bentsukun I was being sarcastic 😉
More lines of code produced by AI results in more tokens needed for fixing bugs that are introduced, and round and round we go!
... and don't forget we need more memory, more GPU's more datacenters, more POWER! 😉 😜

@arnopeters @shanselman 🤔 if it was stored in a dry location it should just happily boot. But I understand you being careful 👍
